TURLOCK – The Warriors scored big over the Gators with a huge 102 points to the Gators 50 points. The Warriors not only scored over 100 points but they also were breaking records and scoring big points left and right. The Warriors defeat the Gators 102-50 and will continue their hopes to head to the CCAA Championship tournament in March.
The Warriors succeed to 13-12 overall and 11-9 in the CCAA. The Gators fall to 1-21 overall and 1-18 in the CCAA.
WARRIORS ON FIRE
- Ashley Hansen set a personal record scoring 12 points to help lead the Warriors to victory. Hansen also made three steals.
- Brittney Livingston scored 11 points and went 4-for-9 from the field.
- Taylor Pilot, Lizzy Alexander and Caitling Keding all scored ten points.
- Pilot made five assists and four rebounds.
- Leading the Warriors in rebounds was Kaleigh Taylor with five.
- Kyanna Davis led with six assists which is one of the first times she has lead for assists this season.
- Angelica Baylon led with five steals and also went 3-for-5 from the three-point line.
TEAM WORK IS ALWAYS THE ANSWER
- The Warriors made an all-time record of scoring nine three-pointers in just the first quarter!
- They also went into the second half leading by 31 over the Gators.
- The team scored 23 unanswered points in the third quarter.
- The Warriors had a huge lead of 54 which is their largest lead of the entire season.
- Every single Warrior in the game scored at least five points!
- The Warriors scored 14 three-pointers which ties the Stan State record book holders in 2015 when that team scored 14 against Sonoma State in January 2015.
- Four Warriors scored two three-pointers on Saturday night, there were only four athletes that did not sink a three-point basket.
- The Warriors scored 36 points in the paint and 49 points off turnovers!
- The Warriors scored 36 points in the first quarter alone and 29 in the third.
NOTEWORTHY
- The Warriors are 23-18 against the Gators since they first met in December 1998.
- The last time the two teams met was on December 15, 2019 when the Warriors beat the Gators 53-47.
- The Gators are currently last in the CCAA.
- The last time the Warriors scored 100 points was against Alaska Fairbanks when they scored 103 on November 13, 2015.
- The last time the Warriors scored 10 or more three-pointers was against Cal Poly Pomona on February 8, 2020 when they scored 10.
