TURLOCK — The Stanislaus State mens' basketball team suffered its fourth straight loss as the Warriors were held to just 18 second half points in a 60-57 decision against Cal Poly Pomona Saturday night.
Cal Poly Pomona raised from the ashes from down 12 points at the half and Phoenix Shackelford scored the game's final five points for the final count.
The Warriors dropped to 13-10 overall and 9-9 in CCAA action. Stan State is just now 3-5 when playing on home court this season. Cal Poly Pomona, winner of four straight, is now 17-5, 13-4.
Three Warriors in Double Digits

Xavier Francois scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the team. He also had three assists and three steals.

Ty Davis netted 11 points for his fourth straight double figure game. He also had seven rebounds and three assists.

Benno Zecic nailed three three-pointers and finished with 10 points.
Had a Big Lead
• The Warriors led by as many as 14 points, 34-20, late in the first half after a pair of
Xavier Francois free throws.
• After a 12-point lead at the break,
Kainoa Ballungay opened the second half with a bucket to make it 42-28.
• Then, the Broncos used a 22-7 run over 12 minutes to take over the game with a 50-49 lead.
• Stan State led by two again late in the game, 57-55, with 37 second left, but Phoenix Shackelford drained a three-pointer and made two free throws for the final score.
CCAA Standings Watch
• Stanislaus State (9-9) dropped to six place, a ½ game behind Cal State East Bay (9-8).
• The Warriors are 1 ½ games ahead of Cal State San Marcos (7-10) and two games in front of both Cal State L.A. and Cal State Dominguez Hills (6-10).
• The top eight teams advance to the CCAA Tournament with the top four teams hosting a first round game.
The remaining schedule
• Stan State only has one Thursday night game left on the regular season schedule. The Warriors travel to Rohnert Park on Feb. 13.
• The Warriors will have three more home Saturday game left after Thursday.
• The next home game is Feb. 15 versus San Francisco State (5-12 CCAA).
