SAN RAFAEL –The Warriors took on the Domincan Penguins in their season opener on Saturday and were barely defeater 3-4. As the first match of the season, the Warriors did well and played strong in each match.
 
This makes the Warriors 0-1 this season. The Penguins are 1-1 this season.
 
Ashley Isaac came out strong at No. 1 singles to defeat Kaitlyn Nguyen; 6-3, 6-0. Kate Bolton at No. 5 defeated Haley Garcia; 6-0, 6-3. Both women earned two points for the team.
 
The Warriors earned the doubles point as Isaac and Kayla Nguyen defeated Domincan No. 1 doubles 6-3. Megan Hagerty and Tay Cazarin closed out the doubles point over Ofelia LopezCamarena and Haley Garcia, 6-0.
