POMONA — The Stanislaus State women's soccer team earned another point in the standings Friday, posting its fourth straight shutout in a 0-0 tie on the road in a California Collegiate Athletic Association match against Cal Poly Pomona at Kellogg Stadium.
Â
The Warriors (4-3-2, 1-0-2 CCAA) haven't allowed a goal in three weeks, since their game versus Seattle Pacific on Sept. 18. Goalkeeper
Amanda Leal's shutout streak is now up to 462 minutes, 36 seconds. Stanislaus State is off to a three-match unbeaten start to its CCAA schedule, the first time since 2015 when it went 2-0-1 to start conference play.
Â
"I'm really proud of our effort tonight and how we grew into the match," said Stanislaus State head coach
Gabriel Bolton. "Cal Poly is an excellent team and we did a great job of taking away their main scoring threats."
Â
Leal faced six shots on goal and made all six saves. The Warriors put three shots of their own on goal, two of them from
Ilena Rivera. Cal Poly Pomona (4-4-1, 0-2-1 CCAA) outshot Stan State, 23-10, and were the more physical team with 10 more fouls called on it, but that didn't faze the Warriors.
Â
"In the last 20 minutes of the game and the two overtime periods, we really started to get into a flow and we created some outstanding chances," said Bolton. "It's always great to get a point on the road.
Â
"Jackzeny (Mancilla) and Taylor (Lucas) were game changers up front for us and Daisy (Martinez) really helped us control the midfield," he added. "The energy from the bench made it feel like a home game for us. That why we call them, 'The Bench Mob.'"

Stanislaus State next heads to Cal State L.A. for another CCAA match set for 2 p.m. on Sunday. Fans can find all live coverage links on WarriorAthletics.com.
