TURLOCK, Calif.----  Stan State trailed Cal State East Bay 1-0 with thirty minutes left in the match and came back to defeat Cal State East Bay 2-1 in both team's regular season finale. With the win, the Warriors become the 2022 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Co-Champions with Sonoma State. The Warriors earned the number two seed in next week's CCAA Championship Tournament. They will play the winner of Cal State Los Angeles/Cal Poly Pomona in the semi-final on November 4 at 2pm at Sonoma State in Rohnert Park, Calif.
FIRST HALF:  Jackzeny Mancilla had to chance to give the hosts the early 1-0 lead just 38 seconds into the match, but Jordan Smith made one of her nine saves on the afternoon. Stan State (10-3-4, 7-2-2 CCAA) had three more chances in the next three minutes to take the lead, but 
Alexis Brewah and 
Sabrina Cabrera saw their shot attempts go wide left or be blocked by the Pioneer defense. Cal State East Bay (2-12-3, 0-10-1 CCAA) had a chance for the lead, but 
Alexia Estrada stopped Lexie Randolph's shot on goal attempt in the 13
th minute. The Pioneers took the 1-0 lead in the 22
nd minute on a goal by Kayla Morales on a ball from Kelsey Pena. 
Arionna Imhoff had a chance to tie the match for Stan State in the 23
rd minute, but Smith made another save for the Pioneers. Stan State had another chance to tie the match at 1-1 in the 44
th minute when the Warriors were fouled in the box. Smith made the save on the penalty kick as the match went into the second half with Cal State East Bay leading 1-0.
SECOND HALF:  Stan State came out of the locker room on fire as the hosts had several chances to tie the match including at the 50
th minute when Cabrera's shot on goal attempt was snagged by the Pioneer keeper. Ten minutes later, 
Makeila Yancey tied the match at 1-1 for Stan State. Brewah had a chance to give the Warriors the lead but were shot was blocked in the 69
th minute. With just four minutes left in the match, the Warriors took the 2-1 lead on a goal by 
Jackzeny Mancilla. The Pioneers had a chance to tie the match right after that, but Estrada made another save. Cal State East Bay had one more chance with les than four minutes to go in the match, but Kelsey Pena's shot sailed wide as the Warriors took the 2-1 come-from-behind win.
CCAA CO-CHAMPIONS:  With their 3-1 come-from-behind win, the Stan State Warriors were regular season CCAA Co-Champions with Sonoma State. The Seawolves earned the number one seed in next week's CCAA Championships as they defeated the Warriors earlier in the season.
The first round of the CCAA Championships will start this Sunday, October 30 at the higher seed sites. No. 4 Chico State will host No. 5 Cal Poly Humboldt and No. 3 Cal State Los Angeles will host No. 6 Cal Poly Pomona. Sonoma State will face the winner of Chico State-Cal Poly Humboldt on Friday, November 4 in the semi-finals and No. 2 Stanislaus State will face the winner of the Cal State Los Angeles-Cal Poly Pomona in their other semi-final. The championship match is set for November 6 at 1pm.
The semi-final and final will take place in Rohnert Park, Calif., on the campus of Sonoma State University. The champion of the CCAA Soccer Championship will earn the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Championship.
