TURLOCK, Calif. – Liliana Marques and
Da'Myiah Lewis helped the team go undefeated at the Warrior Classic against Holy Names and Academy of Art in a two-day tournament at the Fitz.
Sophomore
Da'Myiah Lewis led the team in scoring for game one against Holy Names, putting up 13 points, seven rebounds, and two steals to go with a perfect 8/8 performance from the free throw line. Marques chipped in eight points including a perfect 3/3 night at the foul line to go with it.
In game two against Academy of Art, Marques had 13 points on 3-6 shooting from deep to lead the team in scoring, while Lewis poured in 10 points on 57.1% shooting in the win. The duo combined for 44 points in two games for the Warriors at home.
The tandem has emerged as the two frontrunners offensively for Stanislaus State in their first four games of the season.
