ARCATA, Calif.--- Stan State cut Cal Poly Humboldt's double digit to lead to just six with 4:10 left in regulation, but couldn't get any closer as the Jacks took the 79-68 CCAA victory at Lumberjack Arena in Arcata this evening
Marlon Short recorded his sixth double-double of his career and third of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead the way for the Warriors.
Kobe Ordonio chipped in 15 points while
Noel Alexander Jr. added 12 points off the bench.
Will Pallesi chipped in 11 points for the guests.
FIRST HALF: Cal Poly Humboldt (5-5, 4-1 CCAA) took a 14-5 lead in the first four minutes of the game capped by a Cam Timmons' lay-up. A
Will Pallesi three capped a 12-3 run by the Warriors off a pass from
Kobe Ordonio to cap the Jacks' lead to 20-17 through the first half. Humboldt buuuilt its lead to 34-19 with 4:45 left in the half. The Warriors finished the half outscoring Humboldt 10-6 in the final minutes to cut the deficit to 40-29 heading into the locker room.
SECOND HALF: Stan State (3-8, 1-4 CCAA) started the second half on a 11-4 run to cut the deficit to 44-40 five minutes into the new half capped by two free throws by Short. The Jacks increased their lead to 66-52 at the 6:27 mark. The Warriors didn't go away as they cut the Humboldt lead to 66-60 with four minutes left in regulation. The hosts finished off the game outscoring Stan State 13-8 to take the 79-68.
DOUBLE-DOUBLE: Marlon Shot recorded his third double-double and sixth of his career this evening with 18 points and 10 rebounds. He was seven-for-21 from the field and a perfect four-for-four from the line in 36 minutes.
ONCE AGAIN: For the ninth time this season, Stan State had at least three players score in double digits

Will Pallesi added 11 points for the Warriors.
14: Stan State forced 14 turnovers this evening by the Jacks including six by steals.
Benno Zecic and
Travion Williams each had two steals with
Kobe Ordonio and
Will Pallesi with the other two.
UP NEXT: Stan State will wrap-up the month of December with two exhibition games. The Warriors will be in Stockton this Tuesday, December 13 for a 6pm scheduled game with the University of Pacific. They will finish off December with a 6pm game at Sacramento State. The Warriors will return to regular season play on Sunday, January 1 with a 3pm scheduled CCAA game with Chico State at The Fitz.
