LAST GAME: Stanislaus State picked up a win against Seattle Pacific on Saturday after a game-winning jumper from
Liliana Marques to put the team up one at the buzzer. This win snapped the team's five game losing streak, with hopes to continue this success as they return to conference play in 2023.
UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS: The team's record now sits at 4-7 on the season and they are currently 3-2 at home and 1-4 on the road.
AMONGST THE CCAA LEADERS: The Warriors are still hunting for their first CCAA win, and continue to hang their hats on defensive efforts. Stan State is ranked 3
rd in the conference in steal per game (10.45) and 6
th in blocks (2.82). They are also ranked 4
th in team offensive rebounding at 14.8 per contest.
Joia Armstrong is still on the top-25 list for rebounds per game with 5.0, while she and
Lyric Richardson continue as some of the conference's best shot blockers. Marques is also 18
th in the CCAA in three-point field goals per game, knocking down 15 shots from distance in her first 11 games of the season.
CHICO STATE: The Wildcats are 7-4 overall this season, putting them in 4
th place in the CCAA. One of the better shooting teams in the conference, they also lead the CCAA in defensive rebounds. Junior guard Brandy Huffhines is the team's leading scorer, averaging 12.2 ppg on 52.2% shooting from the field and 46.2% efficiency from deep.
ALL-TIME SERIES: The Warriors saw Chico State earlier this year on the road with a 70-85 final score. Since 2007, they are 10-18 historically against the Wildcats.
