LAST GAME: Stan State had a tough time against Cal State LA on Saturday afternoon, taking a loss at home ahead of their next road trip.
UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS: The Warriors lost both of their CCAA matchups over the weekend, marking three straight losses. The team sits at 3-5 overall and have yet to take a victory in the conference.
AMONGST THE CCAA LEADERS: Still trying to find their offensive flow, the team has been solid at forcing turnovers on the defensive end, currently 3
rd in conference in steals per game (11.13). The Warriors are also 3
rd in offensive rebounding at 16.5 per contest.
Liliana Marques is in the top-25 of CCAA scorers at 9.6 ppg, while she and
Joia Armstrong are 17
th and 18
th in assists at 2.3 per game. Armstrong,
Lyric Richardson, and
Iman Addison are also in the top-25 blocks leaders.
SONOMA STATE: The Seawolves have a 2-6 record so far this season, still unable to notch a CCAA win. Sophomore forward Alli McDonald is averaging 10.7 ppg for Sonoma State at the moment, shooting an even 40.0% from the field and 84.2% from the foul line. The team currently has the lowest scoring average in the conference at 56.6 points per game to go along with the lowest three-point shooting percentage as well (23.7%).
ALL-TIME SERIES: Since 2008, Stan State commands the series 14-11 with a three-point victory margin in their last game in 2021.
CAL POLY HUMBOLDT: The Lumberjacks are 3-3 on the season, putting them 6
th in the conference with a 2-1 CCAA record. Sophomore forward Madison Parry averages 14.2 ppg and 8.5 rebounds to lead the team. A solid free-throw shooting team at 72.9% this season, their shooting from the three and inside the arc are still some of the lowest in the conference.
ALL-TIME SERIES: The Warriors are 8-21 against Cal Poly Humboldt since 2008. They split the season series last year 1-1 with each team winning in their respective home arenas.
