ROSEVILLE — The Stanislaus State women's tennis team stayed unbeaten and unscored upon Friday with another shutout victory, this time beating William Jessup, 6-0, in a non-conference match at the Life Time Tennis Courts.

The Warriors (2-0) earned the doubles point to start the afternoon with a 6-4 win at No. 1 from
Amber Huk and Sylvana Talamantes, and a 6-2 triumph at No. 2 by
Annabelle Mulick and
Alyssa Tay.
Kate Bolton and
Maya Young earned a default win at No. 3 doubles with no opponent.

The Warriors swept all five singles matches played in straight sets, with no No. 6 singles contended. Mulick earned a 7-6 second set win to sweep Aysha Hayes at No. 1, in what was the closest set of any match all day. Mulick won the first set, 6-1. Bolton swept Nicollet Alexander, 6-2, 6-2, at No. 2 singles. Talamantes was a 6-2, 6-3, winner over McKenzie Hawkins at No. 3 singles. Tay beat Sydney Page, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4, and Young completed the perfect day with a 6-1, 6-4, win over Danielle Akabane at No. 5.

Stanislaus next travels south to Fresno on Saturday to face PacWest Conference foe Fresno Pacific. The match is set for a noon start.
