Brewah Leads the Charge in a Convincing 4-2 Victory at Fresno Pacific

FRESNO  The Warriors took their first show on the road in an evening victory against Fresno Pacific University, securing their 2nd straight win of a now 2-0-1 season. The collective saw quite a few familiar faces make an impact on the offensive end with goals from Junior Forwards Alexis Brewah and Sabrina Cabrera, and Senior Midfielder Summer England

England struck the net early in the first half with a solo goal in the 15th minute, but the Sunbirds were able to answer back with a goal of their own just seven minutes later to even the score. FPU went on the let three more shots rip before the end of half, one of which resulted in a save by Junior Goalkeeper Alexia Estrada. Stanislaus was able to let four more shots go in the first half that couldn't quite find their way home.

The two teams went blow-for-blow in the beginning stages of the second half, as a 47th minute FPU goal got followed up by a 48th minute goal by Brewah. Brewah continued what would go on to be a standout performance, assisting on a Cabrera goal in the 56th minute of play for her second straight goal in two matches. Brewah has started to establish herself as the main facilitator on the team, as this is now her 3rdstraight assist game of the season. On a solid 2-4 shooting night for Brewah, she notched her 2nd goal of the match in the 66th minute of play, stretching the Warriors lead to 4-2.

With both teams shooting numbers hanging around 38% for the match, Estrada saw a bulk of those shots go her way, securing six saves for the night on eight shots on goal. Out of the five Warrior shots on goal, they were able to put four of them in the back of the net to put up a convincing win in enemy territory.

The team will try and keep this two-game win streak alive hosting their next matchup back in Warrior Stadium on Sept. 3rd at 6pm against Biola University (1-1-1).
