Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

A Battle at Western Oregon Ends in a 0-0 Stalemate

MONMOUTH – The Men's club leaves the Beaver State with a 1-0-1 record to continue their 2-1-2 season. Eleven shot attempts on the match couldn't make it past the Western Oregon defense.

Daniel Gomez, Josh Santillan, and Adam Mockridge all tried their hand at breathing some life into the match with a combined four shots on goal for the afternoon. Jorge Lara, Alecxander Cuellar, Kai Perez, and Gomez each logged a full 90 minutes in the effort. The Warriors managed to outshoot their opponent 11-6, with twice as many shots than the Wolves had on goal.

Robby Rosas kept his save percentage clean for a second-straight match, denying two shots on goal. Three yellow cards were credited to each team to keep things interesting throughout, while Stan State saw its last attempt at a goal come from Daniel Gomez in the 88th minute with a shot that sailed off target to the top left corner. The Wolves ripped an off target shot of their own later in the 90th minute to finish the match at all zeros.

The Warriors will see their next action at Cal State East Bay for a Men's and Women's double-header down in Hayward on Saturday, Sept. 17th at 4:30pm.
