HAYWARD – Both Warrior squads leave Hayward with 1-1 ties on the road. Junior
Alexis Brewah's first half score was the only shot that reached the net for the team on Saturday evening.

Offense was the name of the game in Stan State's matchup against Cal State East Bay with a grand total of 38 shots coming from both teams for the night. While the Warriors displayed a more accurate shooting percentage with 16 of their 20 shots landing on goal, the Pioneers still managed to even the score on eight shots on goal per 18 attempts. Junior
Sabrina Cabrera saw all four of her shots land in the hands of the goalkeeper, while Sophomore
Alisha Garcia and Brewah each booted three shots on goal apiece.

Brewah's 28
th minute goal came from a routine Pioneer pass that was picked off by Freshman
Arionna Imhoff, Brewah took the breakaway ball the rest of the distance to place a right footer into the lower left corner for a 1-0 lead in the first half.

The Warriors started the second half with three shots from Junior
Taylor Lucas, Senior
Summer England, and Cabrera before the Pioneers settled the score 1-1 in the 65
th minute. Goalkeeper
Alexia Estrada ended her day with seven saves on eight shots on goal.

Time was of the essence for the Warriors to steal a win from the home team. With only five minutes remaining to make something happen, the Warriors saw two shots from Brewah and one from Lek-Miro that failed to break the 1-1 final score at the end of regulation.

With a long week to regroup, the team will head back on the road to go head-to-head with Cal State San Bernardino on Friday afternoon at 12:30pm.
