AMONGST THE CCAA LEADERS: Defense is still the name of the game for the Warriors, who stay in 3
rd place in the CCAA in steals per game (9.79). They have also jumped back up to 3
rd in the conference in offensive rebounding (14.3) and 4
th in blocked shots (3.29).
Makayla Rose remains the CCAA's leading scorer, averaging 17.5 ppg after back-to-back 21-point games this past week. She has upped her shooting percentage to 40.4%, which is good for 11
th in the conference. She has also continued her pesky defense with a CCAA leading 2.9 steals per game.
Joia Armstrong has also made a big jump to 5
th in blocked shots after a career-high five blocks against Cal State East Bay. She has denied a grand total 15 shot attempts on the year.
SAN BERNARDINO: The 7-7 'Yotes have won just two conference games this season against San Francisco State and Cal State Monterey Bay. They are led by their leading scorer redshirt Junior Destiny Jackson (11.9 ppg) followed by redshirt Sophomore Jaida Jackson, who is averaging 8.6 ppg. The team is 5
th in the conference in both combined and offensive rebounds.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Historically, San Bernardino is 18-11 over the Warriors since 2008. The two teams haven't met since last season, where the 'Yotes won a close 55-46 matchup on the road.
CAL POLY POMONA: The Broncos are #3 in the CCAA with a 9-3 overall record this season. They are a top-5 team in field goal, three point, and free-throw percentage this year. Pomona is also top-3 in blocked shots and steals on the defensive end. Senior guard Ally Bates leads the way for the Broncos, averaging 14.3 ppg, while 6'2 Junior Donja Payne handles the team's interior scoring at 12.8 ppg.
ALL-TIME SERIES: The Warriors are 10-14 against Dominguez Hills dating back to 2008. During the 2021-22 season, Stanislaus State lost a close 55-56 home game against the Toros.
