LAST GAME: Stan State split last week's road matchups with a win over San Francisco State and loss at Monterey Bay. The team did however manage to break the losing streak and hope to get back in the winner's circle after the tough ending against the Otters.
UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS: The Warriors now sit at 5-13 on the year, with a 2-6 home record and 1-5 record on the road.
AMONGST THE CCAA LEADERS: Stan State has remained a turnover catalyst in the conference this year. The team is now 1
st in blocked shots (3.61) and 2
nd in steal per game (9.83) jumping up a spot in each category. CCAA leading scorer
Makayla Rose is still averaging 18.6 ppg and has upped her shooting percentage to 41.0%, while ranking 2
nd in the conference in steals at 3.0 per game.
Joia Armstrong has also moved up a spot to 3
rd in blocked shots at 1.2 per game.
CAL STATE DOMINGUEZ HILLS: The #10 Toros have maintained an undefeated season over 18 games so far this season, putting them at the top of the conference. They will be meeting Stan State for the second time this season, after a hot Warriors start later cooled off in the Toros' favor for a 12-point victory. Dawnyel Lair leads the team in scoring at 15.2 ppg on 64.5% shooting this season, though her free-throw and three-point shooting numbers haven't been the best. Regardless, Dominguez Hills has the #1 rated offense and rebounding team in the CCAA, while also leading in steals and assists.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Dominguez Hills holds a 15-10 record against the Warriors since 2008, winning their last two games at the Fitz.
CAL STATE EAST BAY: The Pioneers are 8-8 this season with a 5-7 conference record. The team won't "wow" you with their offensive prowess, but their scrappy post play and 2
nd ranked rebounding make them hard to guard down low. Grace Campbell is currently the team's leading scorer, averaging 12.4 ppg. Following right behind her is Delia Moore (11.8 ppg) and Jaela Richardson (11.7) who fill out a bulk of the team's scoring.
ALL-TIME SERIES: East Bay commands the 17-5 series historically since 2008. In their matchup earlier this month, the Pioneers took a 10-point victory over the Warriors.
