TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State Warriors will begin a four-match home stand this week with a pair of CCAA matches at The Fitz this Friday and Saturday, October 20-21. The Warriors will host San Francisco State this Friday, October 20 at 5pm. The home stand will continue this Saturday, October 21 at 5pm when Stan State hosts No. 13 Cal State San Bernardino.
RECAP OF WEEK: The Warriors went 2-1 last week. They began their week with a four-set loss to then No. 18 Chaminade at home on Monday.
Isabella Saucedo paced Stan State with nine kills.
Rein Bocage added 18 assists and
Rein Bocage recorded 14 digs. On Wednesday at The Fitz, the Warriors swept Chico State at home behind the trio of
Ellison Weaver,
Isabella Saucedo, and
Alex Byrd who combined for 23 kills.
Makenna Carrillo had three blocks with
Haley Burdo recording 17 assists and
Eyriana Eatmon adding 15 assists.
Gabby Rawson recorded 27 digs. The Warriors finished the week with a four-set win at Chico State. Royal had a season high 13 kills with Weaver and
Mariah Iosua each recording 11 kills. Weaver added 13 digs to go with
Gabby Rawson's 19 and
Rein Bocage's 12.
UPDATE ON THE WARRIORS: Stan State is 8-11 overall and 3-7 in the CCAA after sweeping the series from Chico State. The Warriors are tied for ninth place with Cal State Dominguez Hills heading into this weekend. They are three games out of sixth place which is held by Cal State East Bay, Sonoma State, and San Francisco State. The top six teams at the end of the regular season in November will receive a berth to the CCAA Volleyball Championships in Los Angeles, November 16-18.
Mariah Iosua leads the Warriors with 145 kills followed by
Ellison Weaver with 138.
Gabby Rawson has a team leading 370 digs followed by
Rein Bocage (134) and
Haley Burdo (131). Burdo leads the Warriors with her 352 assists followed by
Eyriana Eatmon's 227. Leading Stan State with her 80 total blocks is
Alex Byrd. Eatmon has a team high 35 service aces.
HEAD COACH LAUREN FLOWERS: In her first season in 2022 at the helm of the Warrior volleyball team became Stan State's all-time winningest team with its .655 winning percentage. The Warriors finished with a 19-10 overall record with the 19 wins tying for the most in school history. They finished in sixth place and qualified for the CCAA Volleyball Championships. In her two seasons, Flowers is 27-21. With the Warriors' win over then No. 21 Alaska Anchorage in the Denali State Bank Ice Block Classic, Flowers has guided Stan State so three victories over top 25 teams. In 2022, the Warriors defeated then No. 25 Winona State (3-0 in Carson) and No. 13 Cal State San Bernardino (3-2 in Turlock).
MOVIN' ON UP: Gabby Rawson has moved into sixth place on the Warriors' career list in digs with 953.
Haley Burdo is in sixth place with 112 service aces and eighth with 1494 assists. Sitting in seventh place on the Warriors' career list with 47 solo blocks in

Ellison Weaver. Eatmon has 14 double-doubles in her career and one this season at Stan State while Burdo (26 career, two season),
Ellison Weaver (six career, two season), and Iosua (four career, three season).
Gabby Rawson has recorded one double-double in her career.
HONORS: Emily Vander Weide was named to the seven-team Stanislaus State Labor Day Volleyball Tournament. For the third time in her career,
Gabby Rawson was named the CCAA Defensive Player of the Week for the week of August 28-September 3 and the week of September 4-10. She has been named the Defensive Player of the Week five times during her career as a Warrior. Rawson was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Denali State Bank Ice Block Classic in Alaska.
AMONGST THE CONFERENCE LEADERS: Alex Byrd,
Eyriana Eatmon, and
Gabby Rawson lead the CCAA in six statistical categories. Byrd in blocks and blocks per set. Eatmon in service aces and service aces per set while Rawson is first in digs and digs per set.
UPDATE ON THE GATORS: San Francisco State enters its match with the Warriors with a 10-8 overall and 6-4 in the CCAA. The Gators are in a three-way tie for fourth place with Sonoma State and Cal State East Bay in the conference standings. Tamiya Wilson leads the Gators with her 237 kills followed by Izzy Issak with 202. Brianna DeBoer has a team high 175 digs with Wilson and Asia Arbaugh right behind her each with 172. Kimberly DeBoer has a team leading 711 assists. Leading SF State with her 35 total blocks is Trinity Yates and Wilson has a team high 28 service aces.
ALL-TIME SERIES: San Francisco State leads the all-time series with the Warriors 19-8. The two teams split their season series last year with each team winning their home court. The Warriors won in four sets in Turlock behind
Ellison Weaver with 10 kills to go with
Haley Burdo's four service aces and
Eyriana Eatmon's three.
Autumn Kirby had a team high five blocks. Eatmon had 15 assists and 12 digs for a double-double while Burdo had 13 assists.
Gabby Rawson added 13 digs. Stan State lost in four-sets to the Gators in San Francisco despite Burdo's 32 assists and Byrd's four blocks.
UPDATE ON THE YOTES: The 13
th ranked Cal State San Bernardino Yotes enter their match on Friday at Chico State with a 15-3 overall record and an 8-2 CCAA record. They are in second place in the CCAA one game behind CCAA leader, Cal State Los Angeles. Trinity Sheridan leads the team with her 238 kills followed by Savannah Hoffman's 164 while Marlee Nunley has a team high 549 assists. Kacie Pedersen leads the Yotes with her 25 service aces with Shira Lahav (24), and Nunley (23) right behind her. Lahav has a team high 267 digs. Leading CSUSB with 75 total blocks followed by Jenna Patton's 68.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Cal State San Bernardino leads the all-time series 24-2 with the Warriors. Stan State defeated the Yotes in their only meeting last season in five sets in Turlock.
Ellison Weaver had a team high 18 kills and
Makenna Carrillo adding 13. Weaver also had 16 digs and three service aces for Stan State.
Alex Byrd had five total blocks and
Haley Burdo added 34 assists and
Eyriana Eatmon had 26.
