CHICO, Calif. – Stan State concluded their road trip to Chico State in a hard-fought loss to the Wildcats, who are currently receiving votes in the national polls. All three of the Warriors' runs were scored in the 7
th inning in a too-little-too-late rally for the visitors.
SCORING SUMMARY: Cherise Mori was the first Warrior to put the team in the scoring column following an Avery Heath RBI single up the middle.
Korie Corral advanced to second and was later brought home off a
Mikaela Ferreira RBI single to right field.
Sheridan Gulley managed to score Stan State's final run on a fielder's choice out started by
Savhanna Angland.

Payton Applequist got busy as a fielder, finishing with a career-high 10 putouts on the day.
PRIMARY PITCHER: Jessell Lewis stayed on the mound for the long haul, pitching a full six innings and facing 29 batters. She racked up four K's, forcing five outs and grounding out eight.
