TURLOCK, Calif. – It was a solid day start for the Warriors in their season opener, finishing out a 7-4 first meeting with Cal State East Bay and ending the day with a close 4-3 loss.
Sarah Warden led the team in runs with two through game one, while
Avery Fitch followed up with two runs of her own in game two.
Kyndra Marzorini led off all pitchers, followed by
Victoria Alarcon for the series opener.
Jessell Lewis finished the night off at the mound for Stan State. In the 7-run eruption of the opener, six Warriors made their way home in the victory.
