TURLOCK, Calif.--- Nine Stan State pitchers combined for a two-hit shutout this evening in the Warriors' 3-0 victory over the Menlo College Oaks. The nine pitchers pitched nine innings, giving up just tow hits while striking out ten and walking five.
Flavio Perez went two-for-three with two runs batted in to lead the Warrior batters.

Anthony Ramirez all pitched one inning, giving up two hits, striking out ten and walking five for Stan State (4-2). Sweeney (1-0) picked up the win, pitching a scoreless second inning, giving up a hit and striking out one. Ramirez recorded his second save by pitching a scoreless ninth, giving up one hit, striking out two and walking one.
PEREZ LEADING THE WARRIOR HITTERS: Stan State scored its first run without a hit in the bottom of the second inning.
Robert Valdivia walked with one out and went to second on a two-out walk to
Jacob Baker. They each advanced a base on a wild pitch. Valdivia scored on a balk by the Oaks' pitcher with
Ryan Leonesio at bat for Stan State.
The Warriors doubled their lead in the third inning to 2-0.
Kyle Rachels had a lead-off walk and stole his second base of the season. He scored on a two-out double by
Flavio Perez. Stan State made it 3-0 with a run in the seventh inning. Leonesio and Rachels walked to lead off the seventh. They advanced a base on a sacrifice bunt by
Danny Murphy. With one out,
JD Madrigal walked to load the bases. Leonesio scored the Warriors' third run of the game on a sacrifice fly by Perez.
Perez finished the evening, going two-for-three with two runs batted in and had his fourth double of the season.
UP NEXT: Stan State will continue its season long nine-game stand with a four-game non-conference series with Central Washington on Friday and Saturday, February 17 and 18. The two teams will play a doubleheader on Friday starting at 1pm (two nine-inning games). The series will conclude with an 11am starting doubleheader (nine inning and seven inning game).
