INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Freshman guard Makayla Rose has bumped five spots up the national rankings in the last week, now sitting at 23^rd in steals per game this season. The Roseville product matched her career-high of six steals in the Warriors most recent game vs. Sonoma State. 
 
With just six games left in the regular season, Rose has only gone one game without a steal since the start of her freshman campaign. She has posted a career-high six steals three times this season: twice against Sonoma State and once against Cal State East Bay. Rose's active hands have tied her for 1^st in the CCAA in total steals on the season with 62 (and counting). This ranks 17^th nationally and is the best steals total for a freshman in NCAA Division II this year.
 
As a team, Stan State is 2^nd in the conference in steals per game (10.27); they've racked up 226 total steals in their 22 games played this year.
