INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Freshman guard
Makayla Rose has bumped five spots up the national rankings in the last week, now sitting at 23
rd in steals per game this season. The Roseville product matched her career-high of six steals in the Warriors most recent game vs. Sonoma State.
With just six games left in the regular season, Rose has only gone one game without a steal since the start of her freshman campaign. She has posted a career-high six steals three times this season: twice against Sonoma State and once against Cal State East Bay. Rose's active hands have tied her for 1
st in the CCAA in total steals on the season with 62 (and counting). This ranks 17
th nationally and is the best steals total for a freshman in NCAA Division II this year.
As a team, Stan State is 2
nd in the conference in steals per game (10.27); they've racked up 226 total steals in their 22 games played this year.
