TURLOCK, Calif.--- Danny Murphy hit the seventh pitch he saw for a one-out walk-off single in the bottom of the tenth to give Stan State the come-from-behind 3-2 victory over the No. 5 Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes. Murphy's single drove in
Mac Cabero with the game-winning run.
Austin Balentine (2-1) picked up the win, pitching 2.1 innings of scoreless relief, giving up one hit and striking out seven.
Cal State San Bernardino (13-2, 4-1 CCAA) took the 1-0 lead in the top of the third inning. Takuto Kataoka reached on fielder's choice. With one, Kataoka went to third on an errant pick off attempt at first base. He scored on a two-out single by Deshawn Johnson.
Stan State tied the game at 1-1 in its half of the fourth.
Tyler Van Dyk had a lead-off double. He went to third on an
Alex Solis sacrifice bunt. Van Dyk scored when
Danny Murphy reached on a Coyote error. The Yotes retook the lead in their half of the fifth inning. With two outs, Johnson walked and stole second and scored on a run scoring single by Darryl Ruiz to give CSUSB the 2-1 lead.
The game remained 2-1 Yotes until the Warrior eighth inning. Solis hit the second pitch he saw for his first home run over the center field fence to tie the game at 1-1.
Neither team scored in the ninth to send the game into extra-innings.
Jonluke Goldman had a pinch-hit lead-off single in the bottom of the tenth.
Mac Cabero pinch ran for Goldman. He went to second when
Flavio Perez reached on a fielder's choice sacrifice bunt. Each runner advanced a base on a sacrifice bunt by Van Dyk. Solis was intentionally walked to load the bases. With the count 3-2 and one out and bases loaded, Murphy hit a single to center field to bring in Cabero with the game-winning run and give Stan State (11-8, 4-5 CCAA) the 3-2 victory.
STAN STATE HITTERS: The Warriors had nine hits on the day with
Alex Solis going two-for-three with his first home run of the season.
Danny Murphy was one-for-four with two runs batted in for the hosts. Six other Wariors had one hit apiece in

Jacob Baker.
WARRIORS PITCHING STAFF: Austin Balentine (2-1) picked up the win in relief, pitching 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up one hit and striking out seven.
Maxwell Pappas had the no-decision, going seven innings, giving up six hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out a season high seven and walking four.
Caleb Bertoncini pitched 0.2 scoreless innings, walking one and striking out two.
UP NEXT: The two teams will continue the four-game series tomorrow with a 1pm starting doubleheader at Warrior Field. The series will conclude with a noon starting nine-inning game on Monday.
