TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State is one point out of the sixth and final spot for the 2024 CCAA Men's Soccer Championships. The Warriors have gone 2-2-1 in their last five matches and enter this weekend's road trip with a 6-4-5 overall record and a 2-2-4 CCAA record. They will be on the road for the final time this regular season this weekend, Nov. 1-3. This Friday at 3:00 p.m., the Warriors will be in San Marcos, Calif., for a match with Cal State San Marcos. Two days later, Stan State will travel to Hayward, Calif., for a 2:00 p.m. match with Cal State East Bay on Sunday, Nov. 3.
LAST WEEK: For the second straight week, Stan State went 1-0-1 in its two CCAA matches. The Warriors started the week with a 1-0 victory over Cal State San Bernardino on Friday evening. This was their sixth shutout of the season and third straight.

Angel Ruiz-Hernandez had three saves in goal for the Warriors. On Senior Day on Sunday, Stan State tied 1-1 with No. 22 Cal Poly Pomona. This was its fifth draw of the season and fourth in CCAA action.

WARRIORS IN REVIEW: Stan State enters its final weekend of the regular season with a 6-4-5 overall record and a 2-2-4 CCAA record. The Warriors are averaging 1.33 goals a game while giving up 1.13 goals a game.
Alecxander Cuellar leads the team with his nine points. He is tied with

Elio Corral in goals each with three. Ramirez and Cuellar are tied for the team lead in game-winning goals with two.
Edgar Castaneda leads the team with his five assists.
Angel Ruiz-Hernandez has a 1.14 goals against average with 52 saves, six shutouts, and a .754 saves percentage.
ONE POINT OUT: Heading into the final matches of the regular season, Stan State is in seventh place with 10 points. The Warriors are one point out of the sixth and final spot for the CCAA Soccer Championships. Cal State Los Angeles and Cal State Dominguez Hills are tied for first each with 16 points followed by Chico State with 15. Rounding out the top six are Cal Poly Pomona (14), Cal State Monterey Bay (14), and Cal State East Bay (11). Right behind the Warriors is Cal State San Bernardino with nine points followed by Sonoma State and Cal Poly Humboldt each with seven and San Francisco State with six.
The top six teams at the end of the regular season on November 7 will receive a bid to the CCAA Soccer Championships, Nov. 10, 15-17. The first round will be held on November 10 at the sites of the number three and four seeds. The top two seeds receive a first-round bye. The semi-finals are set for November 15 in Hayward, Calif., on the campus of Cal State East Bay. The championship match will take place on November 17 at 11:00 a.m. in Hayward Calif.

Ruiz-Hernandez is tied for first with six shutouts, fifth in saves percentage (.754), and fourth in goals against average (1.143) and saves (52). Cuellar is tied for fifth with two game-winning goals and tenth with three assists. Castaneda is tied for second with five assists. Ramirez is tied for fifth with two game-winning goals. th in the nation with his six shutouts.
COUGARS IN REVIEW: Cal State San Marcos is 4-6-5 overall and 0-6-2 in the CCAA. The Cougars have not won a match since a 3-2 victory at Biola on Sept. 18. They went 0-2 last week with a 3-1 loss at Cal State Dominguez Hills and a 2-1 loss at Cal State Los Angeles. CSUSM is averaging 0.93 goals a game while giving up 1.33 goals a game. Ryan Meinardus leads the team with his eight goals, 17 points, and three game-winning goals. Stefano Brunetto has a team leading four assists. Tony Flores has posted a 1.33 goals against average with 56 saves, .737 saves percentage, and four shutouts.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Cal State San Marcos leads the all-time series with the Warriors 5-1-2. The Cougars defeated the Warriors 3-0 in Turlock last season. The Warrior victory was a 1-0 shutout in 2021 in Turlock.
PIONEERS IN REVIEW: Cal State East Bay enters its Friday evening match with Chico State with a 4-7-3 overall record and a 3-3-2 CCAA record. The Pioneers are 1-2-2 in their last five matches including tying Cal State Los Angeles 3-3 and losing 1-0 to Cal State Dominguez Hills on the road. They are averaging 1.14 goals a game while giving up 1.29 goals a game. Alan Gutierrez leads the team with his three goals while Leon Eisert has a team high four assists. Adan Corona has posted a 1.30 goals against average with a .658 saves percentage, 25 saves, and three shutouts in ten matches.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Since 2009, Stan State leads the all-time series 11-6-2 with the Pioneers. The Warriors lost to Cal State East Bay 2-0 last year in Turlock. Stan State defeated the Pioneers 4-2 in 2022 in Turlock.
