TURLOCK, Calif.---Â Stanislaus State women's volleyball (14-6, 7-5 CCAA) will be on the road this week, first facing Cal State San Bernardino, who are receiving votes for top 25 contention, on Thursday, October 31st at 7:00 p.m. in the Coussoulis Arena. On Saturday, November 2nd, the Warriors travel to San Francisco, Calif. to face #20 San Francisco State University at 1:00 p.m.

LAST WEEK:Â Stan State was at the Fitzpatrick Arena this past week, first playing Cal Poly Pomona, who moved from fifth to fourth in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) ranking this week, on October 25th. The Broncos swept the Warriors 3-0 (25-19, 25-15, 25-22). Stan State came back strong the next day, October 26th, defeating Cal State San Marcos 3-2 (21-25, 25-22, 27-29, 25-13, 15-6). Ellison Weaver had a great week, leading the team in kills with 28. Haley Burdo recorded 38 assists to help the offense as well as three service aces. Our defense was strong with Alex Byrd owning the net, recording 14 blocks between the two games, with six of them being solo. Gabby Rawson covered the court well with 48 digs this week.
STAN STATE IN REVIEW:Â Stan State split the last two games to now have a 14-6 overall record and are 7-5 in CCAA matches. The Warrior's offense is lead by Isabella Saucedo with 173 kills, followed by Ellison Weaver's 134 kills. Haley Burdo facilitates the offense with her 365 assists, as does Shaelyn Pruiett with 290 assists. Autumn Kirby leads in service aces with 28. Our defense is highlighted by Gabby Rawson with 316 digs and Alex Byrd with 74 blocks. Autumn Kirby follows closely with 72 blocks.
RANKED CCAA/NCAA:Â Autumn Kirby, Gabby Rawson, and Alex Byrd are continuing to perform well within the conference. Alex Byrd and Autumn Kirby are first and second in two categories: blocks per set and total blocks. Byrd averages 1.17 blocks per set and has 74 total blocks, while Kirby averages 1.04 blocks per set and has recorded 72 blocks. Gabby Rawson leads in digs per set and total digs, with 4.21 digs per set and 104 total digs. Autumn Kirby's service aces and aces per set maintained her 10th position in the conference, with 28 service aces and 0.41 aces per set. Stan State is also in the top 25 in the NCAA in blocks per set, ranking 24th with 2.41 blocks per set.
MOVIN' ON UP:Â The 2024 volleyball roster is continuing to make their mark in the all-time career record lists, as well as recording their own career highs. Haley Burdo has now recorded 2,052 assists in her career, now over 100 assists ahead of the previous leader. Burdo is moving up in service aces, just three aces way from moving into third all-time. Haley Burdo has also entered the top ten in a third category, tying for the ninth spot at 827 digs. Gabby Rawson is second the same category with 1,441 digs. Ellison Weaver has moved into 10th all-time in kills with 735, just ten kills behind 9th place. Alex Byrd has climbed the leaderboard in two categories: solo blocks and total blocks. Byrd is now third in solo blocks with 76 and has moved into first all-time for total blocks with 313.

Ellison Weaver recorded a personal career high in kills and digs in the match facing Cal State San Marcos, with 22 kills and 18 digs. This was Weaver's twelfth double-double in her career and her first of this season. Alex Byrd recorded career highs in total blocks and solo blocks, also in the match with Cal State San Marcos. Byrd recorded 11 total blocks and six solo blocks. Byrd's 11 total blocks were tied for highest number of total blocks in a match at Stan State.
GATORS IN REVIEW:Â San Francisco State University is ranked 20th by the AVCA with a record of 16-4 overall and 10-2 in the CCAA. They are 4-1 in their last five matches, with a notable 3-1 win against #22 Cal State Los Angeles and a split series with RV San Bernardino. Izzy Issak and Tamiya Wilson will be two strong offensive players for the Gators. Issak leads the team in kills with 304, while Wilson closely follows at 301. Kimberly DeBoer will be the primary setter for SF State, leading the team with 812 assists. Libero Asia Arbaugh is the team leader in digs with 255 and service aces with 38. Anastacia Garcia leads in blocks with 44, followed by Izzy Issak with 35 blocks. They remain in the top ten in every statistical category in the conference, and rank first in assists per set and total assists. Kimberly DeBoer is the leader with 11.12 assists per set and 812 total assists.
ALL-TIME SERIES:Â San Francisco State leads the all-time series with Stan State 21-8. SF State has won four of the last five, with Stan State claiming a win in four sets in September of 2022. The Warriors last faced the Gators at the Fitz on October 4th of this year, where SF State won 3-0 with very close sets. Makenna Carrillo led the way for the Warriors' offense with ten kills. Christallynn Tate closely followed with nine. Haley Burdo recorded three service aces as well as 15 assists. Gabby Rawson recorded 15 digs to keep play going for the Warriors.
COYOTES IN REVIEW: RV California State University San Bernardino (11-8, 7-5 CCAA) are 6-4 in their last 10 games. They are currently amid a five-game homestand, with Stan State being their fourth game out of the five. Ashley Robinson will be the one to watch for the Coyotes. Robinson is the leader in both kills (319) and digs (195) and is second in service aces (25). Robinson is also 2nd in the conference for kills per set (4.49) and points per set (5.06). Jaiden Van Horn leads in assists with 410. Abbey Clark has recorded 31 services aces to lead the team, and Allison Legates is the leader in blocks with 57. Â
ALL-TIME SERIES:Â Stan State is behind in the series with CSUSB, 3-25. Two of those wins for Stan State have come in the last three matchups, so the Warriors have certainly become better matched with the Coyotes. The most recent game was on October 5th of this year at the Fitzpatrick Arena when the Warriors swept CSU San Bernardino 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-22). Alex Byrd commanded the net with seven blocks, two of them being solo blocks. Autumn Kirby kept pace with six blocks and a service ace. Both of our setters recorded double-doubles; Haley Burdo had 16 assists and 10 digs and Shaelyn Pruiett recorded 14 assists and 11 digs. Gabby Rawson led the team in digs with 16 and service aces with two.
