TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State saw its second half rally fall short in the Warriors' 3-1 loss to the visiting Cal State Los Angeles Golden Eagles.

Kaley Miller for the hosts' goal in the 57
th minute.
FIRST HALF:  Stan State (3-4-2, 0-2 CCAA) thought it was going to take the 1-0- lead in the eighth minute when 
Sabrina Cabrera's shot attempt was stopped by the Golden Eagles' Taesja Paopao. The hosts had two more chances for the 1-0 lead be stopped by Paopalo in the 18
th minute, one off the foot of 
Aliah Avila and the other from Cabrera.  Cal State Los Angeles, who was receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches' National Poll, took the 1-0 lead in the 23
rd minute as Mia Del Muro connected on a ball from Andrea Hernandez for the first goal of the match.  Neither team had a shot on goal attempt in the final 22 minutes as the guests took a 1-0 lead into the locker room.
SECOND HALF:  Cal State Los Angeles (5-0-3, 2-0 CCAA) doubled its lead when Shelby Melin connected on an unassisted goal just five minutes into the new half.  The Golden Eagles increased their lead to 3-0 on a goal by Delia Bocanegra off a cross from Jassmin Ortiz in the 57
th minute.

Kaley Miller cut the Warrior deficit to 3-1 just twenty-two seconds later.  Roa had a chance for the Warriors' second goal, but her shot went over the top of the goal in the 69
th minute.  Three minutes later, 
Francesca Hahn saw her shot attempt go wide right of the goal as the Golden Eagles held on for the 3-1 CCAA victory.
NUMBER THREE:  Jocelin Roa scored her team high third goal of the season this afternoon.  She now tied for the team lead in scoring with 
Aliah Avila both with seven points.  
Kaley Miller recorded her third assist of the season on Roa's goal.  Miller is now tied for the team lead in assists with Avila.
FIRST START:  Tylin Norman had her first start in goal for the Warriors. She had five saves in 90 minutes this afternoon for the hosts.
UP NEXT:  Stan State returns to the road for a pair of CCAA matches, October 11 and 13.  The Warriors will be in Seaside, Calif., for a 7:00 p.m. match with Cal State Monterey Bay on Friday, October 11.  They will finish the weekend with a 2:00 p.m. match at San Francisco State on Sunday, October 13.  Stan State returns home for a 7:00 p.m. match with Cal Poly Humboldt on Student Affairs Night on Thursday, October 17 at Warrior Stadium.
