TURLOCK, Calif.--- The Warriors faced Cal State East Bay at the Fitzpatrick Arena this evening, sweeping the match 3-0 (27-25, 25-13, 27-25). Stan State is on a three-game win streak, shutting out the last three teams they have played.

FIRST SET: Points were traded back and forth as the teams got a feel for each other. Stan State began to pull away stringing together kills and blocks early. Four kills for
Makenna Carrillo and two for
Malia Tanksley brought Stan State to a 14-10 lead. Despite some struggles in the middle of the set, the Warriors surged for the win with kills and service aces from
Autumn Kirby and
Ellison Weaver, finishing the set 27-25.

SECOND SET: Cal State East Bay grabbed the first pair of points, but the Warriors quickly retaliated. Once the score was evened 3-3, Stan State refused to let the Pioneers take the lead again. Two service aces from
Shaelyn Pruiett started a run for Stan State with kills from
Ellison Weaver and
Isabella Saucedo to keep the momentum going until the Warriors claimed the set 25-13.

THIRD SET: The Pioneers fought to the last in the third set, keeping the score close. Stan State got off to a 6-2 start, but Cal State East Bay brought the score to 18-17. Timeouts called by both teams did not ease the tension as points continued to be traded.
Malia Tanksley and
Ellison Weaver struck the final kills in the match, closing out the game 27-25.

DOUBLE DIGITS: The Warriors continued to block well with 10 blocks tonight. The team has recorded 10 or more blocks in five out of their last six matches.
Autumn Kirby recorded seven combined blocks to lead the team and earn a new season-high.

Ellison Weaver had 13 kills and 10 digs tonight for her second double-double of the season and the thirteenth of her career.Â

CCAA POSTSEASON: The Warriors are headed to Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday, November 21
st to play in the quarterfinals of the CCAA tournament. The battle for seeding is still being determined with the final match of the season. Stan State is currently even with Cal State San Bernardino for the third seed, but Stan State's two wins against the San Bernardino in the regular season puts the tie breaker in their favor.
