TURLOCK, Calif.--- For the final match of the regular season, Stan State (19-7, 12-6 CCAA) swept Cal State Monterey Bay (6-19, 5-11 CCAA) 3-0 (25-12, 25-17, 25-19). The Warriors completed their regular season as Stan State's winningest team in history, beating out the record head coach
Lauren Flowers previously set in 2022.

FIRST SET: The Warriors commanded the match from the beginning, starting out on an early 5-0 lead that caused Cal State Monterey Bay to take their first timeout, followed immediately by a solo block from
Alex Byrd. Stan State continued to find the floor, with the Otters picking up points with some of their own kills. Shaelynn Pruiett closed out the set with a service ace, making the score 25-12.

SECOND SET: Cal State Monterey Bay traded kills with the Warriors, opening the set 3-3.
Makenna Carrillo recorded two kills and a block to begin creating a gap. Stan State used the momentum to claim the set 25-17.

THIRD SET: The Otters struggled to find good locations for their hits early, allowing Stan State to go ahead 8-2. They surged late in the set, taking the Warriors' 18-9 lead and shrinking it to 23-16. Stan State had no intentions of letting the game go to four sets, sealing the deal with a 25-19 set and match win.

BEST OFFENSE IS A GOOD DEFENSE: The Warriors recorded 14 blocks as a team for the third time this season. The only time they have recorded more this season was in their first game facing Fresno Pacific, where the Warriors put up 16 blocks as a team. Stan State has combined for double digit blocks eleven times this season, including in six of their last seven games.
