SEATTLE, Wash.--- Stan State faced Seattle Pacific University this afternoon, dropping the game 81-65.
Da'Myiah Lewis led in scoring for the Warriors with 19 points, followed by
Daja Scott-Mitchell with 13 and
Tia Barefield with 12 points.
FIRST QUARTER: Seattle Pacific (3-9 overall) started off the game with a 12-point run, which was answered by
Tia Barefield draining a three. Stan State slowly chipped away at the deficit with
Daja Scott-Mitchell and
Alyssa Premo hitting their mark from beyond the arch. The Warriors continued to battle to finish the quarter 29-21.

SECOND QUARTER: Despite the Falcons finding an opening early for a jumper, Stan State (2-7 overall) responded quickly to cut Seattle Pacific's 10-point lead in half. The Warriors continued to put pressure on, going on a run of their own to take the lead halfway through the quarter. Seattle Pacific managed to find openings near the end of the quarter to take the lead once again 42-39.
THIRD QUARTER: The third quarter started as a game of tug-of-war with Seattle Pacific first increasing their lead before the Warriors tied it up again. The Falcons earned four points before
Daja Scott-Mitchell tied it with four of her own. The last three minutes of the quarter was a stalemate, with both defenses looking strong, until the Falcons managed to draw a foul to end the quarter up 54-51.

FOURTH QUARTER: Da'Myiah Lewis scored an early five points for the Warriors, but the Falcons came into the fourth quarter in good form. While Stan State continued to respond to Seattle Pacific's scoring, they could not match it and slowly fell behind. The Falcon's ended the quarter with seven points, finishing the game 81-65.

DOUBLE-DOUBLES: Da'Myiah Lewis scored 19 points and recorded 12 rebounds for her third double-double of the season and the fifth of her career.
Daja Scott-Mitchell put up 13 points of her own and snagged a team-leading 13 rebounds to earn her first double-double as a Warrior.

BAREFIELD'S CAREER NIGHT: Tia Barefield recorded career highs in several statistical categories today. Barefield was one of today's top scorers with 12 points, including making three three-pointers, while snagging two rebounds, adding five assists, and a steal.

BATTLE OF THE BOARDS: Both teams played well off the backboard with Stan State just outplaying Seattle Pacific 44 to 43 in rebounds. The Warriors evenly split their rebounds with 22 offensive and 22 defensive rebounds.
Daja Scott-Mitchell grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds while
Da'Myiah Lewis followed up with 12 of her own.
