POMONA, Calif.--- #24 Stan State's first NCAA tournament appearance is ended by #4 Chaminade, with the Warriors dropping the match 3-0 (26-24, 27-25, 25-11). Stan State ends their season as the winningest team in program history with a 22-8 overall record and a 12-6 record in conference play.

FIRST SET: The first set looked to be locked up by Stan State, striking out on an early lead 8-6. The Warrriors maintained the lead for much of the set, but a four-point run by Chaminade off a timeout forced Stan State to take one of their own at 21-17. The Silverswords continued to press their advantage to claim the first set 26-24.

SECOND SET: Stan State struggled early against the Chaminade offense, falling behind 6-3. With kills from
Ellison Weaver and
Mariah Iosua, the Warriors climbed back to even at 17-17. Chaminade refused to let Stan State take the set and closed it out 27-25.

THIRD SET: Silverswords opened the third set with two services aces, while Stan State responded with a kill from
Autumn Kirby and a solo block by
Makenna Carrillo. Chaminade was not deterred, scoring six points while the Warriors only earned two of their own. The Silverswords continued their dominant run, winning the set and match 25-11.

HISTORY IN THE MAKING: The 2024 season was a historic year for Stan State with numerous broken records and firsts for the program.
Malia Tanksley was the first Freshman of the Year, while
Gabby Rawson was the first to earn Libero of the Year award twice in program history. At Stan State's first CCAA Tournament finals appearance, they also claimed their first CCAA Champions title, while
Ellison Weaver won the Warriors' first CCAA Tournament MVP award. Stan State recorded the highest overall and conference win percentage, making the 2024 Warriors and
Lauren Flowers the winningest team and winningest coach in State State history. Stan State had the most All-CCAA honorees in program history as well.

Haley Burdo became the all-time career assists leader (2,214 assists),
Gabby Rawson is now the all-time career digs leader (1,602), and
Alex Byrd is the all-time career blocks leader (356).
Alex Byrd's 119 blocks this season is the most total blocks of any Warrior in one season. Byrd also has the highest amount of blocks per set in one season with 1.24, breaking her previous record.
