TURLOCK, Calif.--- Chico State shot 54% from the field including 50% from three-point land to key its 86-63 road win over Stan State this afternoon at The Fitz. With the loss, the Warriors finish the weekend 1-1 and are one game out of sixth place in the CCAA regular season standings. The top six teams after February 29 will receive a berth to the CCAA Basketball Championships, March 7-9 in San Bernardino, Calif.
FIRST QUARTER: Jordan Allred's jumper gave Chico State (19-7, 14-5 CCAA) an early 9-3 lead four minutes into the game. Stan State finished the quarter outscoring the Wildcats 13-10 as the hosts cut the deficit to 19-16 heading into the second quarter.
SECOND QUARTER: Jiana Creswell's lay-up five minutes increased the Wildcats' lead to 34-25. Back-to-back jumpers by

THIRD QUARTER: Stan State kept its run going as the hosts scored the first five points of the half to cut the Chico State lead to 46-41 just a minute into the new half. Jadence Clifton's trey off a pass from Zhane Duckett capped a 21-8 run by Chico State as the visitors took a 67-49 lead. A
Liliana Marques lay-up cut Chico's lead to 67-51 heading into the final quarter.
FOURTH QUARTER: Liliana Marques' lay-up made it 67-53, Chico State. The Wildcats went on a 14-2 run as they increased their lead to 81-55 with 5:48 to go in the game. A Brandy Huffhines three gave Chico State an 86-57 lead at the 2:24 mark of the quarter.
Taylor Pilot's jumper capped a 6-0 run by Stan State to end the quarter, but the Wildcats took the 86-63 victory.
STILL IN HUNT: Stan State is still in hunt for one of the six spots for the 2023-24 CCAA Basketball Championships, which will take place March 7-9, at Coussoulis Arena on the campus of Cal State San Bernardino in San Bernardino. Cal State San Marcos (15-4), Chico State (14-5), and Cal Poly Pomona (13-6) already have clinched their spot in the post-season tournament. Cal State L.A. (11-8) is fourth while Cal State Dominguez Hills and Cal State San Bernardino are tied for fifth each with their 10-9 conference records. The Warriors, Cal Poly Humboldt, and Sonoma State are tied for seventh each at 9-10. Cal State East Bay is still alive at 8-11 which place the Pioneers in tenth place with three games left in the regular season.
1,000-POINTS: Mya Blake scored her 1,000
th point in her collegiate career this afternoon on her trey at the 8:20 mark of the first quarter. She finished the afternoon with 14 points. Blake has scored 1,011 points in her three-year career at San Francisco State (611 points) and Stan State (400 points).
12/7: Taylor Pilot scored 12 points to go with her seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot for the Warriors. Pilot was five-for-nine from the field and a perfect two-for-two from the line in 34 minutes.
ANOTHER 14: Liliana "Cookie" Marques scored 14 points this afternoon. Marques was six-for-11 from the field and made one of her two attempts from beyond the arc to go with her three rebounds. She also was one-for-one from the line.
10-FOR-11: The Warriors were nearly perfect from the line today as they went 10-for-11.

The Warriors will travel to San Bernardino for a 5:30pm scheduled tip-off with Cal State San Bernardino on February 22. Their final road game will be in Pomona at 1pm against Cal Poly Pomona on February 24.
