TURLOCK, Calif.--- Hawai'i Hilo (14-13) scored eight runs in the first two of the innings of this evening's game with Stan State to key the Vulcan's 11-5 victory over the Warriors in the Tournament of Champions, presented by the City of Turlock.
Mikaela Ferreira had four of the Warriors' 11 hits and drove in two of their four runs.

The hosts cut the deficit to 8-4 with a two-run second inning.
Faith Erb started the Warriors' scoring with a single up the middle that drove in
Marissa Cerda. Hawai'i Hilo added an insurance run in the fourth, 9-4. Karli DalBIanco's single drove in Ferreira in the fifth to cut the Warrior deficit to 9-5.
Macias hit a two-run home run to increase the visitors' lead to 11-5 in the top of the sixth inning. The Vulcans took the 11-5 victory.
Shelby Frutoz suffered the loss in the start for the Warriors.
Sasha Martello pitched 5.1 innings of relief, giving up seven hits, three runs, and striking out one.
Stan State will play its final game of the tournament tomorrow at noon against Dominican (Calif.)
