TURLOCK, Calif.---Â Stan State Warriors (9-2, 2-1 CCAA) begin their 4-match home stand with a loss to Sonoma State 1-3. Tomorrow they will face Cal Poly Humboldt and attempt to bring their wins into the double digits on the season.

FIRST SET: The Warriors fell 16-25 in the first set, but their serving kept them afloat.
Devyn Nifo helped the Warriors earn a four-point run in the latter half of the set.

SECOND SET: Sonoma State (5-4,2-1 CCAA) burned their first timeout of the match to halt a three-point run that included a kill from
Shaelyn Pruiett and a block from
Autumn Kirby and
Isabella Saucedo. Pruiett led the Warriors to their set two win 25-23 with two service aces and four assists.

THIRD SET: Coming off the high of winning set two, the Warriors started off strong, but ultimately lost the set 17-25. The Seawolves' offense reawakened and found their mark to secure the set.

FOURTH SET: The Seawolves battled in set four, pushing the Warriors. The score was tied six times during the set, each team fighting for their two-point lead. Stan State continued to serve well and improve their receiving but fell 24-26 to end the match.

PRUIETT: Shaelyn Pruiett recorded her third double-double on the season (second in a row) with 12 digs and 14 assists. She also had two service aces in the match.
