TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State will finish off its four-match home stand with a pair of conference matches this weekend at The Fitzpatrick Arena. This Friday, October 4, the Warriors will host San Francisco State on Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night. The following evening, Saturday, October 6, Stan State will host No. 21 Cal State San Bernardino. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m.
LAST WEEK: Stan State started its four-match home stand dropping two four-set matches to Sonoma State (16-25, 25-21, 17-25, 24-26) and Cal Poly Humboldt (15-25, 23-25, 25-13, 21-25).
Isabella Saucedo had a team high 16 kills while
Christallynn Tate added 15 and
Malia Tanksley recorded 12.
Haley Burdo led the Warriors with 34 assists while
Shaelyn Pruiett added 31.
Gabby Rawson had a team leading 35 digs while
Alex Byrd had eight total blocks and four service aces for the Warriors.
STAN STATE IN REVIEW: The Warriors enter this week with a 9-3 overall record and a 2-2 record in their four CCAA matches.

Alex Byrd is tied with Kirby each with a team high 47 total blocks. Pruiett is second on the team with 167 assists while Burdo is second with her 96 digs.
RANKED CCAA/NCAA: As a team, the Warriors are in the top twenty in the nation in total blocks and blocks per set. They are fifteenth with their 2.53 blocks per set average and nineteenth with 114 total blocks. Four Warriors are in the top ten in five statistical categories in the conference.
Autumn Kirby is tied with teammate
Alex Byrd each with 47 total blocks. Kirby is first with her 1.2 blocks per set average followed by Byrd in second with her 1.12 blocks per set average.
Gabby Rawson is in the top three in the CCAA in digs. She is second with her 168 total digs and third with her 3.73 digs per set average.
Isabella Saucedo's 3.25 kills per set average is tenth in the conference.
MOVIN' ON UP: Three Stan State players are moving on up the career lists in five top ten lists at Stan State.
Haley Burdo is thirty-three assists from moving past Kelly Gallagher to become the Warriors' all-time career leader in assists. She currently has 1918 assists while Gallagher recorded 1950 during her career as a Warrior. Burdo is fifth with her 126 service aces, three from moving past Stacie Reyes into fourth place.
Alex Byrd is third on the career lists in solo blocks and total blocks. She has 67 solo blocks and 286 total blocks. Byrd is just five total blocks from moving past Angie Tribble into second place. Caitlin Steffeck holds the school record with 312 total blocks. The Stockton, Calif., native is 21 solo blocks from moving past Chrissy Ford into second place on the solo blocks' top ten list. Angie Tribble holds the school record with 99 solo blocks.
DOUBLE-DOUBLES: Four current Stan State volleyball players have recorded double-doubles in their career as a Warrior in
Haley Burdo,
Shaelyn Pruiett,
Gabby Rawson, and
Ellison Weaver. Burdo twenty in her career including two this season. Weaver has eleven in her career while Rawson has two. Pruiett has recorded two double-doubles in her first season as a Warrior coming at Cal State East Bay (16 assists, 11 digs) and Sonoma State (14 assists, 12 digs).
GATORS IN REVIEW: San Francisco State (9-3, 3-1 CCAA) has won nine of its last ten matches including going 3-1 to begin CCAA play. The Gators are coming off a 3-0 home stand which they defeated Cal State Monterey Bay, Cal State East Bay, and No. 6 Chaminade. Izzy Issak leads the team with her 178 kills followed by Tamiya Wilson with 173. Leading the way with her 478 assists is Kimberly DeBoer. Asia Arbaugh has recorded a team leading 26 service aces. Issak also has a team high 152 digs followed by Arbaugh's 145. Anastacia Garza has recorded a leading 27 total blocks followed by Issak's 21 and Aidan Goodrich's 20.
ALL-TIME SERIES: San Francisco State, who was receiving votes in the latest AVCA Coaches Poll as of September 23, leads the all-time series 20-8 with the Warriors. The Gators won the last two meetings with Stan State including last season in three sets (19-25, 16-25, 20-25) in Turlock. IN that match,
Ellison Weaver had 11 kills to go with
Haley Burdo's 16 assists and 10 digs performance. Izzy Issak and Tamiya Wilson each had ten kills to lead the way for SF State. The last Warrior win over the Gators was in 2022 a four-set victory in Turlock. Weaver paced the Gators with ten kills while Burdo had four service aces. Stan State had twenty combined blocks with

Alex Byrd combining for nine of those twenty.
COYOTES IN REVIEW: Cal State San Bernardino enters its Friday match with a 7-4 overall record and a 3-1 CCAA record. The Coyotes, who were ranked 21
st in the nation the AVCA Coaches Poll that was released on September 23, have won five of their last seven matches. Ashley Robinson leads the way for CSUSB with her 180 kills and 14 service aces. Jaiden Van Horn has a team high 214 assists followed by Kylie Thomas with 161. Jordan Cherniss and Robinson are one-two on the team in digs with 110 and 108 respectively. Allison Legates leads CSUSB with her 35 total blocks followed by M'Kera Drake with 23 and Savannah Hoffmann with 20.
ALL-TIME SERIES: The Coyotes lead the all-time series with Stan State 25-2. The two teams have split the last two meetings, both in Turlock. Cal State San Bernardino won last year's meeting in Turlock in three sets (27-29, 18-25, 15-25).
