TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State hosted Sonoma State tonight, dropping the game 70-56.
Da'Myiah Lewis put up 17 points to lead the way for the Warriors, with
Daja Scott-Mitchell adding 14 points, and
Amya Vangkham-Griffin scored 10 points.
FIRST QUARTER: Sonoma State (8-8, 6-4 overall) started off the game with an 11-point run, answered by a jumper from
Da'Myiah Lewis. Despite the Seawolves turning around and scoring five,
Tia Barefield and
Da'Myiah Lewis each sunk a three to drop the deficit to eight. As layups were traded, Sonoma State led at the end of the period 24-14.

SECOND QUARTER: The first portion of the second quarter saw Stan State (4-13, 3-8) bring it back to an eight-point game. After a pair of free throws from Sonoma State,
Daja Scott-Mitchell scored a layup before the Seawolves earned eight more points.
Amya Vangkham-Griffin dropped five points to get the Warriors back on track, still trailing at the half 39-28.
THIRD QUARTER: Scoring was limited on both sides this quarter with the majority of points coming from free throws. The Warriors cut down Sonoma State's led to just four with free throws from four separate Stan State members. The Seawolves answered with a pair of threes, finishing the period ahead 50-41.

FOURTH QUARTER: The fourth quarter began with more free throws and continued with Sonoma State pressing their attack. More fouls were drawn, with free throws on both sides, this time with the Warriors following up with successful offense. The Seawolves maintained their lead, closing out the game 71-56.
ACROSS THE BOARD: Daja Scott-Mitchell neared a triple-double with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 steals, adding two assists as well. Her five steals mark a career high.

I'LL TAKE THAT: Stan State recorded 12 steals collectively, with almost every member of the team recording at least one.
Daja Scott-Mitchell snagged five while
Quinn Garrett nabbed two.

VANGKHAM-GRIFFIN: Tonight's 10 points scored by
Amya Vangkham-Griffin mark a career high for the freshman. Previously, she had recorded seven points versus Cal Poly Humboldt.
