TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State faced Chico State this afternoon, falling 66-44. Daja Scott Mitchell led the way for the Warriors with 20 points followed by
Alyssa Premo with 12 points. Scott-Mitchell shot 53.3% from the field tonight, going eight-for-fifteen.
FIRST QUARTER: Though Chico State (11-1, 6-0 CCAA) made the first move, scoring a quick five points, the Warriors found their opportunity, scoring off a bad pass by the Wildcats. Stan State fought to keep the game close, bringing the score within one in the latter half of the quarter. An eight-point run kept Chico State on top to end the quarter up 20-12.

SECOND QUARTER: Stan State (4-8, 3-3 CCAA) held the Wildcats from scoring in the first two minutes of the second quarter. Scoring stayed limited throughout much of the period as the teams utilized aggressive defenses. Chico State ended the period ahead 28-18.
THIRD QUARTER: The Wildcats entered the second half of the game with a three-pointer.
Daja Scott-Mitchell found opportunities to put points on the board, but Chico State continued to push their attack, finishing the quarter 52-26.

FOURTH QUARTER: The fourth came down to free throw for the Warriors, with which they shot 10-for-12. Rebounds allowed
Krista Andersen and
Alyssa Premo to add jumpers onto the Warriors score. Chico State closed out the quarter and the game 66-44.

LEADING THE WAY: Playing all 40 minutes of the game,
Daja Scott-Mitchell's 20 points mark a new season high for her. Tonight's eight rebounds brings her rebounds per game up to 6.7, with the majority of Scott-Mitchell's rebounds being defensive.
