SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.--- The Warriors were hosted by San Francisco State this evening, falling to the Gators 64-56. Stan State was led in scoring by
Daja Scott-Mitchell with 18 points, followed by
Da'Myiah Lewis with 17 points, and
Alyssa Premo with 18 points.
FIRST QUARTER: Stan State (4-9, 3-4 CCAA) got off to an early lead with the first points on the board scored on a layup by
Daja Scott-Mitchell. Fouls by San Francisco State proved costly as the Warriors earned eight points from free throws in the first quarter. The Warriors closed out the period ahead 16-14.

SECOND QUARTER: San Francisco State (5-7, 3-4 CCAA) evened the score right out of the gates, but Stan State responded quickly. The lead was traded and the score tied five times each. The Warriors began to gain traction off a layup and free throws by
Da'Myiah Lewis, but the Gators clawed their way back. San Francisco State led at the half 29-28.
THIRD QUARTER: The third quarter was fairly quiet for the first three minutes of the period, the only scoring being five points from the Warriors. Stan State extended their lead to 10 before San Francisco State began to retaliate, going on an eight-point run. The Warriors held on to their lead to end the quarter 45-40.

FOURTH QUARTER: The Gators responded to each of the Warriors' shots, scoring points of their own. They finally broke away, finding an opportunity to go on a nine-point run before Stan State could stop them. The Warriors claimed six points of their own, but San Francisco State finished the game a step ahead, taking the win 64-56.

SEEING DOUBLE: Daja Scott-Mitchell and
Da'Myiah Lewis earned double-doubles in tonight's matchup. Scott-Mitchell earned her third of the season with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Lewis's 17 points and 10 rebounds marks her fourth this season and sixth in her career.

HOMECOMING FOR LEWIS: Da'Myiah Lewis went home to her native San Francisco in tonight's game. Lewis earned a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds, adding three assists, two steals, and two block assists.

GARRETT'S GREAT NIGHT: Quinn Garrett earned new career-highs in points with nine and three three-pointers made. Garrett snagged three rebounds and aided the team with three assists.

UP NEXT: The Warriors travel on Saturday, January 11
th, to Cal State East Bay for a game with a 5:30 p.m. tip-off. They head down to Southern California for two games next week, first with Cal State San Bernardino on Thursday, January 16
