TURLOCK, Calif.---Â Stan State starts a four-game road trip this week, heading first to San Francisco State before visiting Cal State East Bay. On Thursday, January 9
th, the Warriors take on the Gators at 5:30 p.m. The following Saturday, January 11
th, the Pioneers host for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off.

LAST WEEK: Stan State finished the week 1-1 after picking up a win versus Cal Poly Humboldt and falling to a strong Chico State, who are currently on an eight-game win streak. The Warriors defeated the Lumberjacks 62-56 with strong performances by
Alyssa Premo,
Da'Myiah Lewis, and
Daja Scott-Mitchell. Premo scored 18 points, shooting 7-for-12 in field goals while adding six rebounds, three assists, and a steal. Lewis put up 15 points of her own along with six rebounds, and assist, and two steals. Scott-Mitchell was just short of a double-double with nine points and 10 rebounds, adding a block, two steals, and an assist.

The Wildcats claimed the win 66-44, but
Daja Scott-Mitchell led the Warriors with 20 points, eight rebounds, a block, and three steals.
Alyssa Premo scored 12 points, going 6-for-6 in free throws and adding an assist.
Krista Andersen chipped in four points, nabbing three rebounds and adding three blocks.

WARRIORS IN REVIEW: At 4-8 overall and 3-3 in conference, the Warriors are keeping opponents to shooting 39.4% in field goals while outperforming them in blocks, currently averaging 3.8 per game.
Da'Myiah Lewis leads in points with 17 per game and rebounds at 7.6 per game.
Talia Maxwell follows Lewis in both categories, averaging 16.7 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game. Maxwell also leads the team in blocks, with a 2.3 blocks per game average.
Jadyn Patterson is the team leader in assists, averaging four per game, and steals with 2.4 per game. Patterson has a 1.23 assist-to-turnover ratio.

th position in the nation in blocks per game.
Talia Maxwell aids the team in reaching that mark with her 2.3 blocks per game which rank 15
th nationally and her 25 total blocks that put her in 25
th in Division II of the NCAA.

SCOTT-MITCHELL STEPPING UP: Daja Scott-Mitchell played in all 40 minutes of the game versus Chico State, scoring 20 of the Warriors' 44 points to record a new career high at Stan State. She snagged eight rebounds, seven of which were defensive, while also stealing three balls and adding a block to play both sides of the ball well. Â

CAREER HIGHS FOR PREMO: Alyssa Premo continues to improve and break previous career highs, recording five new career highs versus Cal Poly Humboldt. Premo has new personal records in points (18), rebounds (six), assists (three), field goals made (seven), and threes made (three). She also recorded a new career high versus Chico State in free throws made with six.

Kalyn Harris earned the first of her career on December 7
th at Cal State Dominguez Hills with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

PIONEERS IN REVIEW: Cal State East Bay (5-7, 3-3 CCAA) will be hosting Cal State Monterey Bay before the Warriors visit. The Pioneers currently outperform their opponents in rebounds but turn the ball over more often. They are currently shooting just 28.1% from beyond the arch. Taylor Eldredge is the team leader in points, with 12.6 points per game, and steals at 2.5 steals per game. Gwendilyn Aasland leads in rebounds (7.5 per game) and blocks (0.9 per game). Ariyah Smith is the assists leader, averaging four per game and earning a 1.09 assist-to-turnover ratio.
