Warriors Sweep Toros to Complete Season Series

CARSON, Calif.--- The Stanislaus State volleyball team dominated from start to finish Friday evening, sweeping Cal State Dominguez Hills, 25–19, 25–16, 25–15, inside the Torodome to complete a season sweep of the Toros in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play.

Stan State improved to 9–9 overall and 7–4 in the CCAA with the victory, while Cal State Dominguez Hills fell to 6–11 overall and 3–8 in conference action.

FIRST SET
Stan State jumped out to a quick start behind efficient hitting and a strong blocking presence, using a 6–1 run midway through the set to pull ahead 17–11. The Warriors hit .316 in the opening frame and closed it out 25–19 behind late kills from Christallynn Tate and Sydney Hoffman.

SECOND SET
The Warriors continued their rhythm in the second set, racing to an 8–3 lead and never trailing. Malia Tanksley sparked the offense with a pair of kills during a 6–0 run, while Irene London added a solo block as Stan State hit .357 in the frame. A kill by Tate sealed the 25–16 win to take a two-set lead.

THIRD SET
Stanislaus State finished the match in convincing fashion, hitting .333 and recording five blocks in the final frame. Reagan Wilkerson served two key aces and assisted on three consecutive kills by Tate, Fallon Freeman, and London to build a 19–11 cushion. Tate closed out the sweep with her 10th kill of the night as the Warriors took it, 25–15.

WARRIOR NOTABLES
Stan State hit a season-best .333 while holding Dominguez Hills to a .078 mark and limiting the Toros to just 31 kills. The Warriors' 10 total blocks marked their sixth straight match with at least seven rejections.

Warriors to Host CCAA Volleyball Championship
Stanislaus State will host the 2025 CCAA Volleyball Championship Tournament, November 20–22, at Fitzpatrick Arena. The top six teams in the conference will qualify for the postseason event, with the champion earning the CCAA's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

The Warriors, now 9–9 overall and 7–4 in the CCAA, remain in strong position in the conference standings. Stanislaus State sits in fifth place, trailing only Cal Poly Pomona (11–0), Cal State LA (10–1), Cal State San Bernardino (8–3), and Cal State East Bay (8–3). The Warriors hold a one-match lead over sixth-place San Francisco State (5–6) as they continue their push toward postseason qualification.

UP NEXT
The Warriors continue their Southern California road trip Saturday afternoon at Cal State San Marcos, with first serve set for 2 p.m. The Warriors swept the Cougars in three sets earlier this season in Turlock.

Stanislaus State will then return home on Friday, October 31, at 5 p.m. to host Cal Poly Pomona, before welcoming Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday, November 1, at 5 p.m. inside Fitzpatrick Arena. The Warriors will then visit UC Merced on Thursday, November 2, at 7 p.m., before hosting Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday, November 4, at 5 p.m. for Senior Night.
