SAN MARCOS, Calif.--- The Stanislaus State volleyball team completed a dominant weekend on the road Saturday afternoon, sweeping Cal State San Marcos, 25–16, 25–15, 25–21, to close out its Southern California trip with back-to-back wins in California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play.
The Warriors improved to 10–9 overall and 8–4 in the CCAA, while Cal State San Marcos dropped to 4–16 overall and 3–9 in conference action. Stan State also swept the season series from the Cougars after winning 3–0 earlier this fall in Turlock.
FIRST SET
Stan State opened strong, hitting .308 in the first set and using a 10–3 mid-set run to take control.
Emily Meyer tallied four early kills, while
Malia Tanksley added a pair of quick strikes and
Victoria Plumb served two aces as the Warriors took the frame, 25–16.
SECOND SET
The Warriors turned in one of their most efficient sets of the season in the second, hitting .464 with 16 kills and only three errors on 28 swings. The combination of Meyer,
Christallynn Tate, and
Sydney Hoffman fueled the attack, while Hoffman and
Fallon Freeman led the blocking effort as Stan State built an early 10–4 lead and cruised to a 25–15 win.
THIRD SET
Stanislaus State closed out the sweep in set three, with eight different players recording a kill. The Warriors trailed 10–8 before rallying on a 9–2 run behind the setting of
Shaelyn Pruiett and
Reagan Wilkerson, who combined for 37 assists on the afternoon. Tate and Meyer each landed two late kills to seal the 25–21 final.

Stan State hit .306 as a team while holding Cal State San Marcos to just .105. The Warriors have now won three straight matches and recorded sweeps in each of their last two outings.
Warriors to Host CCAA Volleyball Championship
Stanislaus State will host the 2025 CCAA Volleyball Championship Tournament, November 20–22, at Fitzpatrick Arena. The top six teams in the conference will qualify for the postseason event, with the champion earning the CCAA's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament.
The Warriors, now 10–9 overall and 8–4 in the CCAA, remain in fifth place in the conference standings. Stanislaus State trails only Cal Poly Pomona (11–0), Cal State LA (10–1), Cal State San Bernardino (8–3), and Cal State East Bay (8–3), while holding a one-match lead over sixth-place San Francisco State (6–6).

The Warriors return home to Fitzpatrick Arena next week for a pair of marquee CCAA matchups, hosting Cal Poly Pomona on Friday, October 31, at 5 p.m. and Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday, November 1, at 5 p.m. Both programs are receiving votes in the latest AVCA Division II national poll.
Stanislaus State will then visit UC Merced on Thursday, November 2, at 7 p.m., before hosting Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday, November 4, at 5 p.m. for Senior Night. The Warriors will close the regular season with two matches in Southern California, visiting Cal State LA on Thursday, November 14, at 5 p.m. and Cal Poly Pomona on Friday, November 15, at noon.
