TURLOCK, Calif.---The No. 3 nationally ranked Stanislaus State men's soccer team dominated the 2025 All-California Collegiate Athletic Association awards, with ten Warriors earning All-CCAA honors and four claiming major conference awards, as announced Thursday. Gerardo Flores was named CCAA Forward of the Year, Angel Ruiz-Hernandez earned Goalkeeper of the Year, Sebastian Carbajal received Freshman of the Year, and head coach John Powell was voted CCAA Coach of the Year.

The Warriors, who also hold the top ranking in NCAA Division II Super Region 4, placed six players on the All-CCAA First or Second Teams, with four more earning honorable mention recognition. Ruiz-Hernandez, Flores, Emmanuel Duran, Ian Reis, and Samuel Villanueva were named to the All-CCAA First Team, while Carbajal represented Stan State on the Second Team. Federico Barbieri, Landon Leal Ruiz, Jose Ponce, and Adrian Yepez received honorable mention honors.

Stanislaus State finished the regular season 14-1-1 overall and 8-1-1 in CCAA play, outscoring opponents 37-9 and recording nine shutouts.

Ruiz-Hernandez was named the CCAA Goalkeeper of the Year after leading the league in nearly every category. He went 14-1-1 with an 0.56 goals-against average, .857 save percentage, and eight shutouts in 16 starts. The senior allowed only nine goals in 1,434 minutes and made 54 saves while organizing the conference's top defensive unit. Ruiz-Hernandez, who earned All-CCAA honors for the second straight season, was also named FloCollege/CCAA Defensive Player of the Week during the year.

Flores earned CCAA Forward of the Year honors and a spot on the All-CCAA First Team after leading the Warriors with nine goals and six assists for 24 points. He paced the conference with five game-winning goals and tallied 20 shots on goal among 50 attempts, playing a role in 15 of Stanislaus State's 37 total goals. Flores also earned FloCollege/CCAA Offensive Player of the Week honors and was selected as the United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Month for October.

Duran was named to the All-CCAA First Team after contributing eight goals and three assists for 19 points. He ranked second on the team in scoring and converted on a .381 shot percentage, giving the Warriors a consistent attacking threat throughout the season. Duran was recognized twice during the campaign as the FloCollege/CCAA Offensive Player of the Week.

Reis anchored the Stan State back line that allowed just nine goals in 16 matches. The senior center back added one goal and one assist while leading a defense that produced a conference-best 0.56 goals-against average. Reis, a two-time All-CCAA honoree, was also named the FloCollege/CCAA Defensive Player of the Week this season for his outstanding play in the back.

Villanueva joined Reis on the All-CCAA First Team after recording 10 assists and one goal for 12 points. His ability to attack from the back and deliver quality service on set pieces made him one of the league's most productive defenders. The senior earns All-CCAA honors for the third time in his standout career at Stan State.

Carbajal was selected as the CCAA Freshman of the Year and earned Second Team honors following a breakout debut season. He scored five goals with two assists for 12 points, including two game-winners, and quickly became a key contributor in the starting lineup.

Barbieri received honorable mention recognition for his leadership and steady play along the back line. He appeared in all 16 matches, recording one assist and helping the Warriors post nine shutouts.

Leal Ruiz earned honorable mention honors after starting all 16 matches and registering three assists. He provided valuable distribution and composure in midfield, helping control the rhythm of play.

Ponce was named honorable mention after appearing in all 16 matches and recording one assist. His defensive awareness and ability to break up plays in midfield were key to the Warriors' overall balance.

Yepez earned honorable mention honors after producing two goals and six assists for 10 points. He was one of the team's most creative playmakers, appearing in all 16 matches and providing a consistent offensive spark.

Head coach John Powell was recognized as the CCAA Coach of the Year after guiding the Warriors to one of the best regular seasons in program history. Under his direction, Stanislaus State climbed to No. 3 in the national rankings and finished with the league's best scoring offense (2.31 goals per game) and defensive average (0.56).

Stanislaus State continues postseason play in the CCAA Tournament this week and will face Cal State East Bay in the semifinals on Friday at 10:30 a.m. The winner of the CCAA Tournament will receive the league's automatic berth to the NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship.
