FRESNO, Calif.--- Stan State wrapped up its midweek road match-up on Wednesday afternoon, falling 68–49 at Fresno Pacific.
Alyssa Premo led the Warriors with 16 points, while
Eryn Gardner added 12 points and 8 rebounds.
Karissa Hukill was also in double figures with 10 points and 8 boards.
The result moves Stan State to 1–2 on the season, while Fresno Pacific improves to 3–2.
First Quarter
Stan State opened strong, scoring early inside and building a 15–14 lead after the first quarter behind baskets from Premo and Gardner. The Warriors shot 7-for-19 in the period and matched FPU on the boards.
Second Quarter
Fresno Pacific used a burst of perimeter shooting and Stan State turnovers to take control, outscoring the Warriors 17–6 in the frame.
Aaliyah Dias and Premo added baskets, but Stan entered halftime trailing 31–21.
Third Quarter
Stan State continued to compete out of the break, with Premo and Gardner again pacing the offense. FPU, however, extended its lead with an 8–0 run midway through the quarter, and the Warriors went to the fourth down 51–35.
Fourth Quarter
The Warriors kept fighting in the final frame, getting scoring contributions from Gardner, Hukill, Premo, and
Amya Vangkham-Griffin. Gardner scored six points in the period, but FPU connected on three three-pointers late to maintain control and close out the 68–49 final.
