Warriors Begin CCAA Play on the Road at Humboldt and Chico

TURLOCK, Calif.---Stan State opens CCAA play this week with a two-game northern road trip, beginning at Cal Poly Humboldt on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 5:30 p.m. in Arcata, before heading south to face Chico State on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 1 p.m. in Chico.

Warriors Update
Stan State (1–2) comes into the weekend averaging 59.3 points per game behind the strong early-season play of Eryn Gardner, who leads the Warriors with 17.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game while shooting 47.8 percent from the field and 66.7 percent from three. MilaSarai Tau adds 11.0 points per game on 47 percent shooting, and Alyssa Premo and Karissa Hukill each contribute 9.0 points per contest. Quinn Garrett continues to log heavy minutes and steady the backcourt rotation. Stan State forces 19.3 turnovers per game and averages 9.0 steals.

Gardner's Double-Double at Jessup
Gardner's early-season run includes her first double-double as a Warrior, recording 17 points and 10 rebounds on Nov. 22 at Jessup. She was also one rebound shy of a double-double in the season opener and continues to establish herself as one of the conference's most productive newcomers.

Newcomer Trio Leading the Way
Stan State's early-season identity has been shaped by the immediate impact of newcomers Gardner, Tau, and Hukill, who have anchored nearly half of the team's scoring. Gardner leads the way at 17.0 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting 47.8 percent from the floor and 66.7 percent from three. Tau adds 11.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game with strength and efficiency in the post. Hukill provides 9.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per contest and is shooting 60 percent from three while supplying perimeter scoring and defensive activity. Together, the trio gives Stan State a balanced, physical, and versatile offensive foundation.

Last Time Out
FRESNO, Calif.---Stan State wrapped up its midweek road match-up on Wednesday afternoon, falling 68–49 at Fresno Pacific. Alyssa Premo led the Warriors with 16 points, while Eryn Gardner added 12 points and 8 rebounds. Karissa Hukill also reached double figures with 10 points and 8 boards. Fresno Pacific knocked down nine three-pointers, creating the separation needed despite Stan State forcing 20 turnovers and winning the rebound battle 39–37.

CCAA Leaders
Eryn Gardner ranks third in the CCAA in scoring, sixth in rebounding, fifth in field goal percentage, and fifth in steals per game. Alyssa Premo sits ninth in the conference in free throw percentage, while Cameron Gibson is tied for sixth in blocked shots per game. As a team, the Warriors lead the CCAA in turnover margin and rank sixth in assist/turnover ratio, scoring defense, and three-point field goal percentage.

Scouting Cal Poly Humboldt
Humboldt (1–3) averages 70.8 points per game and features a high-scoring trio in Kyori Lloyd (17.7 ppg, 5.7 rpg), Jordyn Smith (13.8 ppg, 8.5 rpg), and Shade Satica (10.0 ppg, 9.5 rpg). The Lumberjacks make 8.8 three-pointers per game and are coming off their strongest offensive showing of the season.

Season Series – Humboldt
Humboldt leads the all-time series 25–10 since 2008. Last season, the Lumberjacks won 68–51 in Arcata despite 15 points from Amya Vangkham-Griffin, while Stan State took the first meeting in Turlock 62–56 behind 18 points from Alyssa Premo. Humboldt has won five of the last seven matchups.

Scouting Chico State
Chico State (3–2) averages 70.0 points per game, shoots 39.8 percent from three, and owns a +11 rebounding margin. Madison Parry leads with 15.4 points and 7.8 rebounds per game, Meadow Aragon adds 13.2 points and 10.4 rebounds, and Kaylie Edge contributes 11.8 points per game while shooting an impressive 56.7 percent from beyond the arc.

Season Series – Chico State
Chico leads the series 23–10 since 2007 and has won the last seven meetings. Last season, the Wildcats won 97–61 in Chico and 66–44 in Turlock, where Alyssa Premo scored 12 points.

Stan State returns home for its 2025–26 home opener on Friday, Dec. 19, hosting Cal State San Bernardino at 5:30 p.m. inside Fitzpatrick Arena.
