Stan State Falls to CSUSB in Homestand Opener.

Turlock, Calif.--- Stan State opened its four-game home stand Friday night against Cal State San Bernardino inside Fitzpatrick Arena. MilaSarai Tau led the Warriors with 11 points and six rebounds. CSUSB pulled away behind efficient perimeter shooting to earn a 78–33 victory.

First Quarter
CSUSB set the tone early, opening the game on a 7–0 run and holding Stan State to just one field goal in the opening period. The Coyotes shot 43.8 percent in the quarter and built a 22–4 advantage, capitalizing on early turnovers and second-chance opportunities.

Second Quarter
Stan State showed improved ball movement in the second quarter, with Alyssa Premo knocking down a pair of shots to help stabilize the offense. CSUSB continued to stretch the lead behind perimeter shooting and efficient ball movement, taking a 36–11 advantage into halftime.

Third Quarter
Stan State came out of the break with increased defensive energy, limiting CSUSB to eight field goals in the quarter. MilaSarai Tau provided a spark in the paint, scoring multiple baskets and pulling down rebounds, but the Coyotes maintained control by converting points off turnovers and extending possessions.

Fourth Quarter
Stan State closed the game with its strongest offensive quarter, scoring 14 points over the final 10 minutes. Karissa Hukill and Tau combined to generate scoring chances, but CSUSB's depth and shooting sealed the outcome as the Coyotes finished with 36 bench points.

CSUSB finished with a 47–41 rebounding edge and scored 36 points off turnovers. The Coyotes made 12 three-pointers and shot 85.7 percent from the free-throw line. Stan State recorded seven steals and played the contest without a lead change.

Stan State continues its four-game home stand on Saturday, Dec. 21, hosting No. 15 Cal Poly Pomona at 1 p.m. inside Fitzpatrick Arena. The Broncos enter the matchup after earning a 53–40 road win at UC Merced. After the New Year, Stan State will remain home to face Cal State Monterey Bay on Jan. 2 at 5:30 p.m. and Cal State San Marcos on Jan. 4 at 1 p.m.
