TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State fell to Cal State Los Angeles in overtime this afternoon 84-80.
Amya Vangkham-Griffin was the leading scorer for the Warriors with 23 points, followed by
Quinn Garrett with 16 points,
Jadyn Patterson with 14 points, and
Da'Myiah Lewis with 12 points.
FIRST QUARTER: The Warriors (5-19, 4-14 CCAA) put the first points on the board with a free throw by
Amya Vangkham-Griffin. Cal State Los Angeles earned free throws of their own to take the lead. Points were traded, but the Warriors emerged with the lead at the end of the period 20-16.

SECOND QUARTER: Stan State held Cal State Los Angeles (15-8, 10-8 CCAA) for the first minute before the scored two on a jumper, which was the start of a seven-point run. The Golden Eagles led for much of the quarter, but the Warriors found their opportunity. Going on a nine-point run, Stan State equalized to make the score 36-36 at the half.
THIRD QUARTER: The Warriors earned a quick five points at the start of the half. They extended their lead to 10 points, but Cal State Los Angeles scored 10 on a run to even the score. Stan State earned one on a free throw to lead at the end of three 50-49.

FOURTH QUARTER: The lead was immediately traded, and continued to be for the first three minutes of the game until the Golden Eagles took the lead by one. The Warriors got out to a seven-point lead, but Cal State Los Angeles for their opening to go even and tie at the end of the fourth 71-71.

OVERTIME: Cal State Los Angeles took the lead on a quick layup. The Warriors traded points and took the lead with a minute and a half left. The score went even, then the Golden Eagles scored five to take the lead. Cal State Los Angeles claimed the win 84-80.

HIGH SCORE: Despite the loss, the Warriors' 80 points is the most they have scored this season. The 71 points at the end of four quarters is tied for the second highest score this season.
