TURLOCK, Calif.--- Stan State faced Chico State in their second doubleheader today. The Warriors swept the series today with a 3-2 win in the first game and won the second game 1-0 after a ten-inning pitching duel.
GAME 1: Stan State put two on in the bottom of the third with a single by
Marissa Cerda and
Moxie Barton drawing a walk.
Malia Babasa cleared the bases with a triple, putting the Warriors up 2-0.
Sasha Martello hit a two-out single to score Babasa and increased Stan State's lead to three.

Chico State (11-7, 3-5 CCAA) rallied in the top of the sixth, beginning with a walk. With two outs, two more walked until a single scored two runners. It was not enough as the Warrior defense held on to win the game 3-2.

GAME 2:Â The game was locked at 0-0 as
Bree Barner and Chico State pitcher Kylie Loertscher were engaged in a pitching duel. Stan State's defense backed up their pitcher to assist in the shutout.
Malia Babasa made an excellent play backing up a hard-hit grounder to third the third base side to steal a hit. In the top of the ninth,
Marissa Cerda made a diving grab to put two outs on the board with a runner on second. In the next play,
Moxie Barton threw out the runner attempting to go home on a single to right field to keep the Wildcats at zero.

In the bottom of the tenth,
Malia Babasa hit a one-out single.
Karli DalBianco doubled and Babasa used her speed to make it all the way home on the hit for a walk-off by DalBianco.
BARNER:Â
Bree Barner pitched all 10 innings, allowing seven hits and a walk, but striking out two and not allowing any runs. Barner also went two-for-three at the plate, now batting .565 in 22 at bats.

BABASA: Though
Malia Babasa was two-for-seven in tonight's contests, she crossed the plate twice and drove in two runs. Babasa also put on a strong defensive performance in both games to keep the Warriors in position to earn a win.

DALBIANCO: Karli DalBianco struggled in the first game, making contact but grounding out in her three at bats. In the second game, she went two-for-five with the walk-off double to win the game and sweep the series. DalBianco caught two foul outs and two bunt lineouts in strong defensive plays to compensate for her quiet bat.
