TURLOCK, Calif.--- The Warriors closed out their series at No. 14 Cal State East Bay today. The Pioneers took both games, winning 6-3 and 4-3, though Stan State put up a fight.

GAME 1: The Warriors (10-20, 7-13) struck early, earning a run in the first inning. Malia Babasa led off with a double and moved to third off of Karli DalBianco's groundout. Sarah Warden hit a two-out single to score Babasa from third and give Stan State the lead.

Cal State East Bay (27-6, 15-5 CCAA) earned four in the bottom of the second using a quartet of singles and a three-run home run. The Pioneers extended their lead to six in the fourth inning with a double and a bases-loaded single.

Stan State began a rally in the top of the seventh as Moxie Barton reached base with a walk. Katie Thornsberry's ground out moved Barton to second with two outs. Malia Babasa reached base after being hit by a pitch and Marissa Cerda pinch ran for her. Karli DalBianco singled to load the bases. Shelby Frutoz hit a double to score Barton and Cerda while moving DalBianco to third, but the Warriors could not continue the rally.

BABASA: Malia Babasa was two-for-three with a run scored. Both of her hits were doubles, marking her first double in her career as a Warrior. This is her ninth game this season with two hits and her first game with multiple extra-base hits.

GAME 2: Karli DalBianco started the second game off with a bang, leading off with a home run to give Stan State the early lead. The Warriors added a second run in the top of the fourth as Allejandra Perea hit a lead-off home run of her own. In the fifth, Karli DalBianco hit a lead-off single, followed by a single from Moxie Barton.
