SEASIDE, Calif.--- The Warriors traveled to Cal State Monterey Bay today, playing the first of two doubleheaders today. Stan State dropped the first game 9-2 but came back to win the second game 7-1.

GAME 1: Cal State Monterey Bay (21-21, 9-17 CCAA) earned six of their runs in the first inning with a two-run homer, a solo home run, a single with two runners on, and another RBI single. The Otters added a seventh run with a sacrifice fly in the third inning. Â

The Warriors (13-25, 8-18 CCAA) scored in the top of the fourth, starting with a walk by
Sarah Warden.
McKenna Beach picked up two runs with a home run that brought them both home.

The Otters earned their final two runs with four singles in the bottom of the fifth. Â Â

BEACH: McKenna Beach went one-for-two with a walk. Beach hit a two-run home run to put the Warriors on the board.

GAME 2: Stan State got on the board first, with
McKenna Beach hitting a lead-off home run in the top of the second. The Warriors scored their second run in the top of the fourth, with a second solo home run by
McKenna Beach. They extended their lead in the top of the sixth, beginning with a lead-off double by
Sarah Warden.
Katie Thornsberry pinch ran for Warden, then Beach was hit by a pitch to put two on.
Sasha Martello reached on a throwing error, allowing Thornsberry to score and Beach to reach third.
Madison Rosebrough pinch ran for Martello as
Allejandra Perea doubled to drive Beach home and move Rosebrough to third.
Sydney Davis followed with a single that scored Rosebrough and allowed Perea to reach third, while Davis made it to second.
Marissa Cerda hit a sacrifice fly to score Perea, giving Stan State a 6-0 lead. The Warriors tacked on an insurance run in the seventh, beginning with a lead-off double by
Karli DalBianco. A flyout by
Sarah Warden followed by
McKenna Beach allowed DalBianco to score.

The Otters earned their run in the bottom of the seventh with a solo home run.

BEACH: Coming into this contest,
McKenna Beach had hit one home run this season. After today's games, she now has four this season and as a Warrior. Beach has recorded two solo home runs and two two-run home runs.

ALARCON: Victoria Alarcon tallied another complete game tonight. Alarcon gave up five hits and one run off a home run. She also struck out five and did not give up any walks.
