TURLOCK, Calif.--- The Warriors hosted Sonoma State today for the second of two doubleheaders. The Seawolves held Stan State, taking the first game 6-3 and claiming the second game 5-0.

GAME 1: Sonoma State (25-18, 12-12 CCAA) took the lead in the top of the third with two singles and a foul out that scored a run. A triple and a single scored their second run in the fourth inning. The Seawolves tacked on four more in the seventh with five singles, a walk, and a sacrifice bunt.

The Warriors (12-24, 7-16 CCAA) attempted a rally in the bottom of the seventh, beginning with a walk by
Shelby Frutoz.
Madison Rosebrough pinch ran for Frutoz and
McKenna Beach doubled to move her to third.
Katie Thornsberry earned a one-out walk to load the bases, and a single by
Malia Babasa scored Rosebrough.
Karli DalBianco reached on an error as Beach scored.
Sasha Martello batted for
Moxie Barton and drew a walk to score Thornsberry, but Stan State's rally ended after these three runs. Â

BABASA: Malia Babasa went three-for-four in game one, knocking in a run. Babasa is now batting .368 and has batted in nine runs this season, increasing her on-base streak to nine games.

GAME 2: Sonoma State earned one run in the second with an error, two singles, and a sacrifice bunt. The Seawolves earned their second run with a home run in the third. They added three more in the sixth using two singles, a triple, and an error.

Stan State's lone hit was by
Malia Babasa, while the team also recorded six walks.
Madison Rosebrough and
Katie Thornsberry accounted for four, with two each.

ONE FOR THE MANY: Karli DalBianco added another sacrifice hit to bring her count up to seven. Her seven sacrifice hits lead the team, followed by
Malia Babasa and
Sarah Warden, each with five.

MARTELLO: Sasha Martello pitched 1.1 innings of relief, striking out two of the five batters she faced swinging. Â In the full inning she pitched, she faced three batters, with two strikeouts and a groundout.
