TURLOCK, Calif. — The Stan State men's golf team is ranked eighth in the West Region in the latest Scoreboard powered by Clippd rankings, updated Oct. 14, 2026. Western Washington leads the region, followed by Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State Monterey Bay, Simon Fraser, Cal State San Marcos, Menlo and Chico State.
West Region Top 10
The West Region top 10 includes Western Washington, Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State Monterey Bay, Simon Fraser, Cal State San Marcos, Menlo, Chico State, Stan State, Northwest Nazarene and Cal State East Bay. Stan State is eighth in the region with a 17-7-0 record and 25.58 average weighted points.
Montgomery Earns Weekly Honor
Mason Montgomery was named the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week following his performance at the RCA Electric Invitational. Montgomery won medalist honors with a four-under-par 206 after rounds of 67-69-70 and helped Stan State win the team championship by six strokes.
Fall Season In Review
Stan State competed in three events this fall, finishing seventh out of 13 teams at the Otter Invitational, first out of 10 teams at the RCA Electric Invitational and second out of 11 teams at the Wildcat Classic. The Warriors earned 21.10 weighted points at the Otter Invitational, 25.76 at the RCA Electric Invitational and 29.89 at the Wildcat Classic.
Warriors In Individual Rankings
Mason Montgomery leads Stan State with a No. 10 ranking in the West Region, a 72.30 adjusted scoring average and 21.46 average weighted points. He won the RCA Electric Invitational, finished sixth at the Wildcat Classic and placed 47th at the Otter Invitational. Carson Diaz is ranked No. 17 with a 72.41 scoring average and 19.12 average weighted points. Diaz finished 10th at the Otter Invitational, 13th at the Wildcat Classic and 14th at the RCA Electric Invitational.
Sinjin Armstrong owns a 73.90 scoring average, followed by Ricky Sullivan at 74.41 and Ryan Giardino at 75.19. Armstrong has 13.82 average weighted points, Sullivan has 11.46 and Giardino has 9.79.
GCAA Rankings
The next Bushnell/Golfweek NCAA Division II Men's Golf Coaches' Poll will be released Friday, Oct. 16. Stan State received votes in the most recent poll released Sept. 25.
NCAA Regional Rankings And Selection
The first NCAA Division II regional "Under Consideration" rankings are expected in mid-March 2027, with seeded regional rankings scheduled for late March and mid-April. The West/South Central Regional selections are expected to be announced April 23 or April 26 through NCAA.com.
The NCAA Division II South Central/West Regional is scheduled for May 6–8, 2027, at Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas. The NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship will follow May 17–21 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Stan State opens its spring season Feb. 15–16 at the CSUDH John Johnson Toro Classic in Indio, Calif. The Warriors will then compete at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, Coyote Classic and Wyoming Cowboy Classic before hosting the 52nd Hanny Stanislaus Invitational April 12–13 at Turlock Golf & Country Club. Stan State will compete at the CCAA Men's Golf Championship April 19–21 at La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc, Calif.
