TURLOCK, Calif. — The Stan State men's golf team is ranked eighth in the West Region in the latest Scoreboard powered by clippd rankings, updated Oct. 21. The Warriors own a 17-7-0 record and 27.50 average weighted points through three fall tournaments.
West Region Top 10
The West Region top 10 includes Western Washington, Cal State San Bernardino, Cal State Monterey Bay, Simon Fraser, Cal State San Marcos, Menlo, Chico State, Stan State, Northwest Nazarene and Cal State East Bay. Stan State is eighth in the region.
South Central Region Top 10
The South Central Region top 10 includes Oklahoma Christian, Colorado Christian, Midwestern State, UT Permian Basin, Dallas Baptist, UT Tyler, Colorado Mesa, St. Mary's (Texas), Cameron and Westminster (Utah). These teams will join the West Region's top teams at the NCAA Division II South Central/West Regional in May.
Individual Rankings
The top five individual players in the West Region are Nathan Widjaya of Simon Fraser, Daniel Blankenburg of Western Washington, Conrad Brown of Western Washington, Dale Swartwood of Chaminade and Denby Carswell of Western Washington. Mason Montgomery leads Stan State at No. 17 in the West Region, while Carson Diaz is No. 26. Riley Kirk is No. 49 and Sinjin Armstrong is No. 51. Four Warriors are listed in the regional rankings.
Montgomery Earns Weekly Honor
Mason Montgomery was named the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Golfer of the Week following his performance at the RCA Electric Invitational. Montgomery won medalist honors with a four-under-par 206 after rounds of 67-69-70 and helped Stan State win the team championship by six strokes.
Fall Season in Review
Stan State competed in three events this fall, finishing seventh out of 13 teams at the Otter Invitational, first out of 10 teams at the RCA Electric Invitational and second out of 11 teams at the Wildcat Classic. The Warriors earned 21.10 weighted points at the Otter Invitational, 25.76 at the RCA Electric Invitational and 29.89 at the Wildcat Classic.
Next Scoreboard Rankings
The next Scoreboard powered by Clippd rankings will be released Oct. 28, followed by updates Nov. 4, Nov. 11 and Nov. 18. The Nov. 18 release will serve as the final fall rankings before the standings remain unchanged through the winter break. Rankings are expected to resume when the spring season begins in late January or early February 2027.
NCAA Regional Rankings and Selection
The first NCAA Division II regional "Under Consideration" rankings are expected in mid-March 2027, with seeded regional rankings scheduled for late March and mid-April. The West/South Central Regional selections are expected to be announced April 23 or April 26 through NCAA.com.
The NCAA Division II South Central/West Regional is scheduled for May 6–8, 2027, at Dominion Country Club in San Antonio, Texas. The NCAA Division II Men's Golf National Championship will follow May 17–21 at PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.

Stan State opens its spring season Feb. 15–16 at the CSUDH John Johnson Toro Classic in Indio, Calif. The Warriors will then compete at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, Coyote Classic and Wyoming Cowboy Classic before hosting the 52nd Hanny Stanislaus Invitational April 12–13 at Turlock Golf & Country Club.
Stan State will compete at the CCAA Men's Golf Championship April 19–21 at La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc, Calif.
