TURLOCK, Calif.--- Following his first collegiate hat trick in Stan State's 4-3 comeback victory over Cal Poly Humboldt, Warrior forward
Alexis Cervantes has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
The Warrior junior helped Stan State post a 1-0-1 record during its two-match CCAA weekend, highlighted by a three-goal performance in Saturday's victory over Cal Poly Humboldt at Warrior Stadium.
The Warrior forward scored his first goal at the 29:38 mark before adding two second-half goals at 59:50 and 71:11. His hat trick helped Stan State rally from a 3-1 deficit to secure the 4-3 victory.
Adrian Yepez assisted on two of
Cervantes' goals, while
Hugo Canedo assisted on the other.
Cervantes also played 50 minutes and recorded one shot in Thursday's 2-2 road draw at Chico State. He finished the weekend with three goals and six points, scoring on all three of his shots against Cal Poly Humboldt.
The three-goal performance moved Cervantes into a tie for fifth place on Stan State's career goals list with 14, while his 31 career points are tied for sixth in program history.
His nine goals this season rank sixth on the Warriors' single-season list, while his 18 points are tied for ninth. Cervantes also became just the fifth player in program history to record three goals in a match, joining Daniel Kuczynski (2015), Dennis Wolfe (2003), Rigoberto Gonzales (1999) and Alecxander Cuellar (2022).
The Empire, Calif., native leads Stan State this season with nine goals and 18 points. His performance helped the Warriors improve to 4-6-7 overall and 2-4-5 in CCAA play.
Cervantes becomes the first Stan State men's soccer player to earn FloCollege/CCAA Offensive Player of the Week honors this season. He is the first Warrior to receive the recognition since
Emmanuel Duran was honored for the final week of the 2025 regular season. Stan State had three offensive weekly selections in 2025, with Duran earning the honor twice and
Gerardo Flores receiving the recognition once.
